Haven't read anything horror related in a while, so I'm giving Hell Train by Christopher Fowler a shot

Only made it about halfway through Joe Hill's The Fireman while on vacation, but it's solid so far.

Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters.

Sadly,  my parental leave ends tomorrow, so my reading pace will definitely be slowing down  :'(

I recently watched The Lion in Winter, so that inspired me to start reading When Christ and His Saints Slept, Sharon Kay Penman's series about Henry II and Eleanor of Aquitaine

It's my second favorite in the series behind The Wastelands.

The Wastelands, huh? I'm sure you're in the minority on that one lol. I thought it was better than 1 and 2, but lags well behind 4, 5 and 7 for tops in the series, IMO.

4 and 5 I can see the argument for. 7 While I liked I thought was flawed and a lot of the plotlines ended anticlimactically. I didn't mind the ending though. I know people can be kinda iffy on it lol.

Part way in to W&G, I forgot I was reading a book in the DT series, even that I was reading a King novel at all. I was so wrapped up in the story, I felt I was in that "world," an experience unlike any other book I have read.

Well, the next Discworld novel won't arrive until Monday,  so i pulled The Alchemist off the bookshelf.  I think it's my wife's, but it's short so I'll give it a whirl.

Alchemist was pretty good. A little too religious at times for me,  but a good read nevertheless.

Next up: Pyramids by Pratchett.

Scratch that. Bookstore lied when they said my book was in. Trying out Code of Conduct by Brad Thor.

I've read that book twice. Not sure what that says about me. But it is amazing in so many ways.

Pyramids by Pratchett.

That Brad Thor was OK. Reads like a Rollins, but with plot holes
