Well, that is certainly a cumbersome title. And 2 colons?

Everything Matters! by Ron Currie Jr.

I'm really enjoying this one. I've laughed quite a few times, and he writes with such distinction. Highly recommended

Ha oops!

The City of Mirrors, completing the trilogy by Justin Cronin. Almost complete. Liked many parts of it, loved some if it, but some parts were too disjointed for me. A great undertaking by Cronin on age-old themes. Would mildly recommend.

Yeah, I was okay with it. The epilogue was way too long though. I get what Cronin was doing, but he could have cut down the length some

Went to see Bob Dylan in concert last Friday, so I decided to read a biography on the man: Behind the Shades Revisited by Clinton Heylin

I was hooked by page 3 of the prologue when he explained the Big Bang hypothesis. I lol'd, quite literally.

Just finished this up. I didn't think the epilogue was too long. It is too fresh to fully articulate how I feel about it, and the series overall. High aspirations, at least, and I appreciate that he aimed high, even if he fell short a few times for my taste. My recommendation: Read King's The Stand.

Oh, boy, are you in for a treat. Lehane is the fuckin' man. If you haven't checked it out already, Dennis Lehane just released a new novel called Since We Fell. Pretty good. Loses a little steam near the end, but I still enjoyed it.

Anyway, I'm reading When Will Jesus Bring the Pork Chops?, by George Carlin.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was good. Could've been shortened a bit at the end, as when the mystery was solved, the story kinda lost steam afterward. I still really liked it, though. And I look forward to reading the other two---okay, three, I guess---books in the series. And I'll watch the Swedish flicks after each one. Watched Fincher's flick night before last. Rockin' movie. Too bad he, Crag, and Mara won't be reuniting to complete the trilogy/series. But a man can hope!

Gwendy's Button Box by Stephen King & Richard Chizmar

It is pretty short, you could probably read it in two hours, set back in the 70's where a girl is given a box and the responsibility that comes with it.

Not bad, not Shawshank good, but pretty good all the same.

I just finished Red Sister by Mark Lawrence. I can't wait for the remainder of the books in this series!

Now I need something else to read. I think I'll go see if Steven Brust has done anything recently. [edit]Nope. Won't see anything new from him until October. Maybe I'll just start over with his entire catalog. [/edit]

Pratchett's Equal Rites. Outside of The Dark Tower series last year,  I think this is the first time I've read three consecutive books all from the same author. I'm really liking the adventures on Discworld.

Behind Closed Doors, by BA Paris. This book was recommended to me a couple times, so I decided to read it. I'm seventy-four pages into it, and I think it's utter shit. Bad writing. Just...bad writing.

My DNF game has unfortunately been very strong this year. I gave this last one about 65 pages before calling it quits. Anyway, reading something a little bit lighter: Strip Tease by Carl Hiassen. Never read anything by him, so this should be interesting

Patrick Rothfuss' The Wise Man's Fear. Both Kingkiller Chronicle hardcover copies arrived about a month and a half ago. I breezed through The Name of the Wind, and this one is about as entertaining as the first one, if not more. I also love the way the man writes. There's something compelling about the prose and his descriptions of things.

I realize I will be waiting for the third book for a long while, but I don't have anything against the (so far) unfinished series. I enjoyed the two books for what they are, and they offered me hours of engaging, fascinating story. I consider this money well spent.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.
