Somewhere Black Biff Stadler's pants are dropping.

 :lol

The highest elevation I got last Sunday at Rocky Mountain National Park.  I've got so many more pictures to go through when I get home tomorrow night, but this was the only one someone took of me (aka not a selfie).  Damn was it really cold and windy up there.  I think this pic was one of the few moments when the gusts calmed down.

Nice! Alpine Lodge area I’m guessing? When we were there last year, I ran up those steps on the hill Rocky style and immediately regretted it...

I walked nice and slow, and still regretted it.

Yup, thats the spot and yea, I got to say it was tough taking it slow up there.  I did the steps with an old lady and a little boy while rotating being ahead/behind an asian family based on when we would all stop for air.  I'm glad I went up, never did anything like that before and I think that's my personal elevation record.

Go back in the Summer and hit Mt. Evans. It's a great day-trip and you can drive up to 14.2k+. You'll also be able to spend some quality time in RMNP, exploring some of the lakes and whatnot. In fact, the drive between the two, including the Peak To Peak Scenic Byway, is a hoot in and of itself.

Yea, that sounds awesome.  Gotta take the gf on that sort of trip too.  We are constantly talking about planning another NP trip and she saw some of my pictures and is insanely jealous now.

Hurricane Relief Event  October 6, 2017

In my usual spot in the back corner, observing without interfering, unseen and unheard, although there are some reports that I could actually be heard this time, so that's cool.

Last time we were there, there were sound issues and I could barely be heard, if at all.  We fixed that.

Three bands, of which we were the first.  It was loud, people said we sounded great, the place was packed, we raised lots of money for Red Cross Hurricane Relief.  Rock and Roll!!  ♫♫

David (guitar), Angela (vocals), Orbert (keyboards), Jessica (vocals), JT (drums), Jerry (bass), John (guitar)

I need to pay closer attention to where your gigs are.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

Dude. Just hire Orbert to play her birthday!

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Great pics of the DTF meeting! That Barto beard tho!
When and why did giving the finger become the official "DTFers happy to hang out IRL" photo? I've noticed this happening the last few times people posted meeting pics heh

It's been for a long time.   Ask Jingleboy and Lonestar about that

Yeah, pretty sure we started that tradition back about 5 years ago when RJ and momstar came up to Buffalo to visit his daughter at school.  Mrs.jingle and I drove down from Toronto, and we met up for the first time.  We decided to flip the bird as a tongue-in-cheek 'screw you DTF!  We're here having fun together, and you're not'.  Then I did it with Joe a few months later.  I still have all the pics with everyone I've ever flipped the bird with.  I think - by virtue of his recent concert meetups, Nick has me beat with the number (and certainly geographic scope) of people he's met.

Though, I got it with Portnoy, so there's that.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

Damn, I remember captioning a picture of her as a very newborn "Quaid, start the reactor!" Because she was making a hand gesture and looking like Kuato fro Total Recall.

gmillerdrake, that's awesome! I hope he loves it and continues with it!

I can already see spots where my hair is going to thin. Hell, it's already less full than it was just a couple years ago. But I'm keeping it as long as it looks that good.  :lol :lol

:lol  Part of it is just the perspective.  But the other part is that there was a pretty brutal storm Thursday night, and some gear got wet.  He has some bulky but lightweight items strapped to the outside of his pack, and has the rain cover over the whole thing, so it looks a lot bigger than it is.
