I may be stating the obvious right now, but

WHAT THE FUCK DOES ANY OF THIS HAVE TO DO WITH PARAMORE?
If you don't know what this have to do with Paramore... you fail!

I don't care if someone listens to Paramore or not. It has guitars and shit like that.

Apart from that, it's fine with me.

No. What I meant was that it has those instruments so they're not so bad as people make them out to be.

Basically he's saying that they can't be that bad because they play guitar.

This thread is quite an interesting read. Sometimes it was Paramore, other times it was the Lonely Hearts Club Thread, with a little bit of 14-15 Year Old Dating Game.

I read a page and a half of this thread and then wondered where I should go to ask for the last ten minutes of my life back that I spent reading the amount of bullshit that Wra~ I mean, 73109 posted.

In other news: Paramore is a really solid two out of five for me. I can stand it, but I can't... stand it.

Oh wait, reading the latest posts, this was bumped? Oh forget you guys!

Damn.

So when I logged on DTF today, I was floored to see that there was a Paramore thread and that is was actually 4 pages long. "Now way!" I thought to myself. "There's got to be some serious prog snob versus wayward ex-DT fan action going on here."

And, instead, we've got a discussion about Puberty.

Paramore seem to be a band geared towards girls going through puberty. The lyrical content and familiar "ahhhh so sweeet!!!" chord progressions at least point to that. Really, this band reflects the depraved state and complete castration of rock music. It's not their fault, and they didn't start it, but Paramore have the chance to become popular enough to seal the deal for good. Rock is dead, has been for a long time, but at least a couple years ago stuff like Linkin Park and Staind was Top 40. All that angst and heaviness and just all around nastiness? You'll never see that again. This is the new rock. It sounds "nice."

I'll admit my judgement of them has relaxed recently. When I first heard them, I thought that Coheed had taken a commercially inspired nose-dive. Now, I find them to be tolerable; a guilty pleasure. I would never purchase the CD or download the songs, but on those rare occasions when I'm in the car and listening to the radio, I might not change the station should something of theirs come on.

Fun fact: The first time I heard Paramore was someone in the room beneath me playing That's What You Get. I thought I was listening to a Coheed song I had never heard (especially at the chorus).

Lately, been listening quite a bit to "All We Know Is Falling."  Got some great songs on it, I don't understand the hate for the band...it's not supposed to be ground-breaking, monumental stuff, it's fun easy rock for the masses that's pleasant to listen to when you don't want to think about anything and just have a good time.

Is that not allowed?

Bumpage.

I bought Sims 2 for the PS2 a year or so ago.  The in-game pop radio station plays the song "Pressure", albeit with Sim-language lyrics.  At the time, I didn't know it was a real song, all I knew was that it seemed pretty catchy.  I just recently found out about those songs being actual songs and decided to look more into it.  Got a copy of this song and I still think it's as catchy as it was before.  Very cool.

And I REALLY do not like bands like this or pretty much any band that cameout after about 1992 or so.  So there.  :p

EXTREME MEGA THREADZ BUMPZ OMG

I just saw Paramore live last night. In front of Cinderella's castle in Disney World.

IT. WAS. EPIC.

Honestly, one of the tightest and best sounding band that I've seen live.
They played Decode and Misery Business as an encore, and that pretty much made me a fan. I recommend that anyone that's on the edge about liking Paramore check them out live if they show up in your area, as it's an awesome and fun show.

I'd love to see them live. I always figured that even if the show sucked I'd still get to spend two hours ogling Hayley, but it's good to hear that they're actually a good live band.

Also, rereading this thread is a great reminder of just how much of a noob 73109 is. He was actually worse back then too  :lol
