Current confirmed dates will include stops in 20 countries and will feature an evening of metal classics being performed in different kick ass line-up configuration with sets that include renditions of all the performing artists’ respective classics.

The Metal All Stars was formed by Gabe Reed Productions as a way to give the world’s metal fans an opportunity to see metal legends in one blockbuster show. As Gabe Reed commented “as a metal fan, this is the show that I always wanted to see – 2 plus hours of legendary metal!” Gabe Reed Productions is a global production and touring company, that has, in addition to the Metal All Stars, organized international stadium shows/tours for powerhouse artists including KISS, Mötley Crüe, Guns N’ Roses, and Rock N Roll All Stars that featured Gene Simmons of KISS, along with members of Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Alice in Chains and more, and was featured on the season finale of the highly successful television show ‘Gene Simmons Family Jewels.’

The participating artists are looking forward to the Metal All Stars next tour as much as the fans are. As Zakk Wylde stated, “The Metal All Stars are back and we are going to kick some major ass!” Additionally, James LaBrie, “I am psyched to be a part of the Metal All Stars tour with an incredible collection of singers and musicians. Come on out and let's make it a memorable kick ass evening that is going to rock!”

It’s not often that such a stellar cast is assembled for one tour, and sharing one stage. Soon, lucky European headbangers will get a chance to get a mega-dose of metal on a single night, with the upcoming 2014 Metal All Stars tour.

At least in Finland Metal All Stars was a massive flop last April (probably due to the overpriced tickets) and few people showed up:

Also, Geoff Tate on the bill?! :lol

Geoff Tate?! Don't be getting any ideas about new stage outfits and such, JLB. Perhaps some strippers on future DT shows?

I'm sure Carmine's Vanilla Fudge and Rod Stewart cred will be a big draw -  FFS   What about Blue Murder/King Kobra?

Reading through the news, I wasn't sure how to feel about this... Then I saw that pic from the Finland gig and felt kinda awkward. Some cool musicians included in the bunch though, obviously including JLB, I hope this goes well for them!

JLB should check his insurance status and have spit protection close by at all times.

I dont really understand this.  All these guys just play together and play songs from thier bands?  Sounds interesting in theory but that picture of the empty arena is kind of how I feel this would turn out in reality.  I just dont get it and I bet a lot of people dont which is why there was poor turnout before.

Interesting idea, and I would probably check out some performances on youtube, but actually go there? No way, and looking at the photo of the audience it seems like I'm not the only one thinking that way.

This sounds something that MP would do in a heartbeat...not JLB lol.

Nice to see him out of his DT environment, though.

In reality, that lineup is pretty terrible.  I would have expected more guitarists too.

It's not the best line up, but there's the talented bunch there which makes it kind of worthwhile. What will they play, though? Will Geoff grab another fan's phone and throw it to the audience?

I just wanted to show the harsh reality :lol I'd be shocked if it was a massive success everywhere but here. I'm also surprised James is taking part in this, as most of the musicians in the line-up are from nostalgia acts whose glory days were in the 80s or 90s.

Looking at setlist.fm, it seems that each vocalist gets 3-5 songs to sing, usually from their own bands. At least JLB will get to prove to his haters that his singing skills are miles above Tate's nowadays :lol

Cool news, Gus G had told me that he wanted James for his solo album and James was down to do it, but due to schedjuling differences it didn't happen.
Maybe we'll see some interesting stuff happening from this.

I attended the Metal Masters 5 with Mike Portnoy, Kerry King, Scott Ian, Phil Anselmo and others.  Very cool event.  They surprised us with a cover of Change of Seasons part 1.  The above projects sounds very similar.

The earliest date listed on the website is November 28, so DT's tour should be over by then.

Yeah it was a few months ago, i was surprised as well, but i think a collaboration will probably happen in the future given the positive vibe that Gus had about it.

Saw JLB and the notion that they will sing metal classics and 013 (venue I really like), so I was interested.

But then I saw Tate and that picture of Finland, damn.

I for one would be happy to see this. They´re coming to São Paulo as well, and if it wasn´t for the fact that I have a one month old daughter, I´d certainly be there. And call me crazy, but for me the less people showing up the better - it gives me a chance to watch things from up close when it´s open admission.

That's wicked. I've been a fan of Gus G/Firewind for about 8 years and I love his guitar work. it would be awesome to see James bring his voice to Gus's musical style someday.
