You should head over to our good friend Michael Sweet's (Stryper) Facebook page and click "Like" to follow him: www.facebook.com/TheMichaelSweet He posted the attached picture and text yesterday: "Coming soon! "STiLL" (Sweet, Tichy, Lynch, Lomenzo) - "September" Lyric Video on 9/11!"
So, the cat is out of the bag...video for the first song from the Michael Sweet, George Lynch (George Lynch Fan Page, Dokken, Lynch Mob (Official), KXM), Brian Tichy (Whitesnake/David Coverdale, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Ozzy Osbourne) and James LoMenzo (Megadeth, Black Label Society, White Lion) project is coming on September 11th, 2014. And is "STiLL" the name of the band or the album? Hmmm....what do you guys think? And how many songs would you like to hear before the album is released in early 2015?

I'd definitely check it out. Lynch/Sweet are both very talented obviously. As always, depends on the songs/music.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Yeaah, should be better than the one with the singer from King's X just because Michael sweet is a better singer. Hoping for something Dokken/early Lynch Mob.

If that's real I'm very happy. Sounds like Sweet and guitar sounds like Lynch. Very 80s. Sounding right up my street. If its not legit, I'd like too know who it is!

SWEET/LYNCH's debut album will be released in early 2015 via Frontiers. The band's first lyric video for the song "September" — a tribute to the victims of the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York — will be made available on September 11.

Bumping.  They got a song out a few days back.  Obviously fitting for this occasion.

Great little tune.  Looks like another buy for me.

I would have to hear way more than that. That song did NOT come close to convincing me with parting with any money. Not even close.

I'm with TAC on this one. And I didn't like Sweet's singing at all on this one and I used to be a great fan of his.

Terrific.  This album is sounding incredible.  Only discovered Sweet and Stryper a few days ago but loving his voice.  Lynch sounds in top notch too.

I was going spend some money on one of those preorders but those prices are so expensive.

Yes indeed his voice is still amazing.

Just found out yesterday that Lynch Mob is releasing a new album this month too called Sun Red Sun with Oni Logan back
on vocals.

I think there was a song sampled a little while ago from the Lynch Mob.  Didn't do much for me at the time, but it's definitely an album I'll be checking out.

I think I linked to a sample in the melodic rock AOR thread a while back - it sounded ok. I thought the last album was really good.

Is that Smoke and Mirrors?  I remember I didn't find that all too great to be honest, but saying that, I can't remember any of it.

I never listened to Smoke and Mirrors, but I heard bad things.  From what I heard, it had a very modern sound to it.

I'm a big fan of Lynch.  Mr. Scary is why I picked up a guitar in the first place.  I'm not totally sold on the Sweet Lynch project yet.  Dying Rose sounds promising.

Oh god no - that was awful I meant the Sound Mountain Sessions - and my memory was letting me down a bit as its an ep not an album.

Smoke and Mirrors was actually pretty good.  Are you sure you aren't thinking of Smoke This? as that is the one everybody hates.  Smoke and Mirrors came out just a couple of years ago and has Oni Logan, just like Sound Mountain Sessions.

I think you're right - getting Smoke and Mirrors and Smoke This confused most likely.  Smoke and Mirrors was pretty solid.
