Hi Guys/Girls,

I'm looking for some help designing this,

I'm starting a sleeve with bits from each DT album (don't mention no DT12 yet) I cant find anything to put for SFAM yet either because the face would look poor and cost a lot...

I need help putting it together and editing it as I suck... Here's a basic idea...

Any help, ideas or criticism is encouraged.

Also I wasn't too sure if this was here or GD so....

For SFAM you could use the newspaper on the back sleeve

MURDER! YOUNG GIRL KILLED!

Is all that would have to be legible
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Why don't you use the cover from the current edition of Lifting Shadows for ideas? When I put together the original image (for the Black Clouds and Silver Anniversary poster and shirt), I made sure to include elements or something to represent every single album cover (including the cover albums) they had up to that point. Then when Rich asked me about using the image for the book cover, I added the unicycle clown and moved the elements around a little so they'd fit better.

As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

I was thinking originally, but I'd rather have it as a sleeve so it goes all the way down where as that would probably be just a bicep size, thanks anyway scotty  :tup

I realize this would be taking liberties with the story, but I was trying to think of ideas inspired by some of the images used during the tour.  How about mabye a tombstone with "Victoria" on it?

You could try to emulate one of the seizure-inducing animations of LSFNY.

Those are awesome, but I don't know how you would possibly use one as the inspiration for a tat.  :lol

I really like this.  True fans would get it and it's very artistic.  You could have the Majesty logo or DT logo small on the tombstone as well

As another comment, if you're gonna have a WDADU-related thing on your arm, it better a branding.

Try figuring out which one is SFAM in that. I can't, but I can limit it down to 2 or 3.  :lol

I'm assuming the bird on the left is from ToT?

Basically I would like something like this but a hell of a lot less detail and clutter going from bicep and curving round to forearm

All these tattoes always look great right after. But don't you find yourself having to retouch them regular because they fade and blur?

If you look after them while they heal and protect them properly (from things like the sun) they don't need touching up regularly.
