I was just listening to the Happy Holidays version of The Count of Tuscany, and it strikes me how much better it is when they slow down the run into the big solo at 10 minutes. It just has so much more impact with the change of key. I got HUGE goosebumps. I wish the album version had it!

Well, remember Score was shot April 1st, and the DVD came out in August. Sure, it was the end of the tour then, but some information like a planned release timeframe would be cool. Mike would never tolerate this.

I think that is the key. Not only was it the end of the tour, but it was the end of their record contract. They were as free and clear of duty and obligation as they have ever been. And MP was still in the band, and had nothing else to do. Of course it got done quickly.

I don't expect this one for at least a year.

The only place I've seen that date mentioned is a report that JLB mentioned it that night. There has been no official announcement of it whatsoever. So we'll see.

I remember someone having a discussion involving why bands might say they're shooting a live DVD as opposed to a live Blu-ray. The answer is that if JLB said they were shooting a blu-ray, a giant laser cannon would come out of the stage and fire blue lasers at everyone.

It would actually make sense to announce/release it until after the tour is over since they are still doing the same show. It could turn people away from buying a ticket if they knew they could see it in HD blu ray and not shell out more money to go. I know I wouldnt be one of those, but I suspect that could be a reason.

But a ray can also just be a ray of light. They could be shooting a simple blue spotlight.
I still don't understand why not just say, "We're shooting a video album."

Yeah, I've often been pretty critical of MP on this forum, but once the uncalled-for relapse speculation started I knew the thread had run its course. However, I'm still not sure if Hef locked the thread because of the pic on the last page
