Kishi Bashi - Lighght
« on: July 11, 2014, 10:15:45 PM »
So I was just recently recommended this band, and I'm loving them a good bit. They're like a mixture between indie rock and 70's style prog. I've seen comparisons to Of Montreal and ELO, respectively, haha. The music is uplifting, catchy, and the melodies are gorgeous. The songs are definitely quirky and unique, sometimes being a bit odd, but it's a really refreshing style of music. Check them out!

Kishi Bashi actually performed some strings on the latest of Montreal album. If this band really sounds like of Montreal, then I should really check them out.

Sweet! Glad you guys enjoyed the songs, this band has blown me away recently, the catchiness and vocal melodies are off the charts... I've pretty much learned all of Lighght and I've only listened to it like 8 or so times.
