I think they are preparing for European summer leg. And chilling. At least Jordan and James was in UK last week I think.

They are taking a break from touring for a few months as some of their kids graduate this year. Basically, it's family time and they are likely preparing for the forthcoming EU leg"

Everyone's doing little jobs, Jordan's been doing some work with Roli's Seaboard. They've said they expect to mix the set up a bit when they revisit old markets, next leg, so I'd be surprised if there wasn't a video-wall being prepared for The Bigger Picture in some studio somewhere in the world, and I also suspect Syme's got a WIP for the new DVD on his computer, somewhere, so JP's probably on the art direction for that. But it's essentially a break, yes.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Well, during this little 'break', I'm just hoping JLB will do some kind of tour for his solo project.... One that WON'T get cancelled this time around.

He'll be doing that project "The Theater Equation" with Ayreon in September of 2015, granted that's only a weekend, but maybe he's planning to tour around then.
