lol  I've already started on the write-ups for the Kansas discography, and that is only 15 or so studio albums (and I guess 4 or 5 live albums, and a few compilations), and I'm already freaking out.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Same... I've only done the first 3 Zeppelin + the touring moments in between releases, and I've been at it for two weeks!

Nihil... you're wise to start writing now.   :lol

Devy's going to be done on the 10th. Whoever's next can start getting fired up.

After a few days of thinking it, I've realized that I may not be the most indicated person to do the Anathema discography thread. Maybe ? or Zantera are better than me for this, since they have known the band for much longer time.

By the way, there are some bands I'd love to make some discog threads but they aren't so well-known here.

I'm probably posting the first update of the SX discussion on the tenth, because I then leave until the 15th, which is when I will be posting the second one, which should work out nicely.

Go ahead, I'm not quite ready for my SB discography yet. Work and life have kept me busy, but rest assured, I WILL get to it this month. Then I'll try to update once a week from there on out. I just need a solid day to start my first couple write-ups, and I really wanted to read through some of Neal's biography first to get some info ont he beginnings of the band.

Will be start SX on the next Sunday, 'cause I'm leaving tomorrow and the Devin thread isn't wrapped up yet. Plus, I can't find the file where I already did the write-up for the first album and the introduction. :(

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

So with Symphony X going now, there's still an open spot by my calculations. Who's taking it?

I'd like to, but work has been tiring lately and I haven't had a solid chance to really sit down and do any of my preliminary write-ups. So someone can go ahead of me if they'd like. The SB thread will have to wait until the next available slot is open, but I will likely start my write-ups next week when I finally have a few days off work.

Unless no one else is ready or willing to go, I can start next week.

I would love to run a thread like this, because I've been following the others (even if I don't listen to the artist) and they are all very fun and enlightening. You learn a lot. But I thought a bit about who I would do it with, because it's not fun if the discography is too small. So I thought maybe I could do one for Neil Young, if there's any interest by others to follow a thread about him. He has a huge discography though, I think 35-36 albums (and that's not counting his outside work with Buffalo Springfield or Crosby, Stills, Nash), but I know I'm good at keeping a steady pace and keep frequent updates, so I feel confident I would do a good job with it. Only his "solo" stuff though, so not albums released under other names or other bands. But again, only if people are interested in following it. Because a list with 35-36 albums (or more) is quite huge, and if there's only 2 people interested it might be a waste.  :P

I'll be honest, and it pains me to say this as a Canadian, but I personally cannot stand Neil Young.

It was a long shot. I know there are some fans on the forum who enjoy the classic albums, but I don't know if there are many other than myself who checked out his middle albums/the weird ones.
