Yeah, his speed is scary, but he is a terrible hitter.  Despite those sure outs he turned into hits, he is still batting only .213, and he strikes out a lot, especially for where he bats in the lineup.  He'll be a much scarier weapon if he ever learns how to hit the ball.

It's hard to say if he will, too. Scouts aren't too big on his hitting ability.

It doesn't help that he can't take a walk either. A 4.5 BB% and .250 OBP is just plain bad!

And for the lols

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Congrats to Albert Pujols on his 500th home run last night!  I know that kind of milestone has been devalued because of the steroid era, but it's still an impressive accomplishment, and it just adds to the legacy of the best (non-pitching) player of the 21st century. :coolio

I know he's slowing down a bit... but I hope that Pujols gets higher on the list than a lot of these asterisk guys.

Kev, what does Pujols hitting his 500th home run have anything to do with adding to Trout's legacy  ???

Honestly, I don't care about the HR list. I just want him to return to form, as he is already one of the best hitters ever, and I don't want a slow fade to his career to taint that.

It's frustrating because every pitcher does it. But, he's the only one who can't seem to find a good place to hide it.

I've given up on the Tigers bullpen ever being able to hold a lead of less than 5 runs.

Snapple, you and I know most pitchers use something.  Problem is,  Pineda was warned quietly the last game to not be so blatant.  Red Sox did nothing.  If Farrell does not do anything that was so obvious on TV, the fan base would call him out.  I wish the league wouls just allow it like rosen bags.

Who would've thunk that after the bad spring, health-wise, the Braves had with their starting pitchers that after (basically) one month of play they'd have the best staff in the Majors?!

I don't know when Aaron Harang will disintegrate but he's been an ace so far!

Think they'll give Minor a spot in the rotation after how Hale has been pitching?

The choice of who to bumped to the bullpen will probably come down to Hale or Wood, though going by their stats I wouldn't bump either. Teherán, Santana and Harang aren't losing their spots for sure! (Unless Harang gets pummeled and they skip his next one in favor of Minor)

A 6-man rotation isn't unheard of is it? :lol

Well, that series isn't played until mid-May, Harang could very well fall apart before it. All things being equal right now... I'd have to give the nod to Harang though it would probably be a no-decision for both. Braves ain't hitting for shit, except homers.

By the way, I just remember Gavin Floyd should be back mid-May... all of the sudden Atlanta would have a surplus of SPs, wtf!
