Anybody who criticizes Daniel Murphy for missing two games, because he wanted to be there for the birth of his child and then the next few days, is an asshole.  And that definitely includes Boomer Esiason, who we all knew was already an asshole anyway.  Seriously.

Looks like Dodgers fans who do not have Time Warner are going to miss a lot of games for a while, unless TWC gives in to this stalemate and lowers their price or conditions.  Only 30% of local fans will be able to watch the games on TV, and a lot of bars don't have TWC either, so they will be hurting too.

Good thing I'm not a Dodger's fan
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

This happened last year before NFL season. I kind of had to side with TWC since CBS doubled their rates although they kept running ad campaigns saying TWC was in the wrong.

Walk off for the Dodgers!!!  Gotta give it up to Joba though, all they got was one foul off him.  He was totally fooling them.

EDIT: heh...nevermind, he lost it.  Didn't see that before.

I'm liking the Tigers a hell of a lot so far this year. We're winning some one-run games (last night not withstanding), still playing with enough power to drive them over walls, and the rookies/unproven talent are really stepping up.

One problem, the bullpen. Again. I can't handle any more heartbreaks at the behest of shitty relief pitching.  :(
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

Anyone who is up late night, there is a great show on MLB Network called Quick Pitch.  Highlights for every game crammed into one hour.  Straight to the point, no in-depth analysis. Great show.  I love watching the great plays.

I also just saw that because of instant replay, a ball that is dropped while transferring from glove to hand is no longer ruled a catch???  :omg:  WTF?  If the ball goes into the glove and stays there, it's clearly a catch.  If it falls out during transfer, that has nothing to do with the catch itself.  It's happened a lot this week.

It's a little obnoxious I guess but I'm sure Yankees fans appreciate being able to go see him play one last time. It's really not a big deal.

2 weeks and the Tigers are leading the ALC even though Chicago has one more win. I'll take it. These next few weeks should be fun since it's a massive home stand facing mostly Central-ites.

OMG...I know he's the fastest guy in baseball, but this is crazy.
This is like saying, "Okay, lets race 90 feet and I'll give you an 80 foot head start, and still beat you!"
Already this year he's beat out two balls hit to second, but directly to first?!?! Damn! I know the pitchers gotta be there to cover, but with Hamiltons speed, if he's not heading there immediately, it's over. It been fun so far to see how these guys underestimate his speed. Now if he can hit consistently.
Speed kills.
