I enjoyed the two shows this week, a bit different.  The one with the playlist from the guy at the Portnoy forum had some really cool tracks and lots of stuff I wouldn't normally listen to.  Perhaps a bit too much jazz and classical for my taste though.  The more 'regular' show was a really good one, and I really enjoyed how you started out with more of a power metal feel and then gradually got darker and darker.

Both shows more or less got me through a day at work, so thanks and once again keep up the awesome work!

Awesome insight.

The first show I like to do every year to whoever wins the Super Bowl Pool every year and i don't put my insight to it at all. I just ask that the set is under 2 hours with enough time for me to talk, and no non Fm friendly words.

The second show is more or less what I did a lot of last year where I played all the promos that I got that week. I like doing those shows to promote new albums, but I am more on a conscious effort to play music from all eras. Keeping it Rock and Metal 98% of the time for the year unless something non rock or metal really hits me, or I do another show of my choosing of my favorite non-metal and rock songs.

This week I have a few ideas rolling through my head on what to do so you'll just have to tune in to see what I do.

Oh yes one more thing of a major issue. Dropbox banned my public links because it was getting too much traffic, so all upcoming shows will be played through Pod-O-Matic. Same deal as Dropbox, just hit the link and let it roll.

Thanks again for being a loyal listener, it really helps me to know that I have fans that will tune in every week to hear the shows I'm producing.

Great show this week.  Would you believe me if I said I more or less guessed the theme by the second song, and was sure I had it by the third!  An excellent mix as always, and it flowed together so well I listened to the show in its entirety 2 or 3 times this week at work.

So here are the Stats of That Drummer Guy

Facebook: 453 Likes
Twitter: 585 Followers
Youtube: 84 Subscribers/38,060 viwes
Instagram: 48 Followers (just started this on Friday)
Blabbermouth: 20 Articles
Interviews: 77 (some couldn't air)
Episodes of That Drummer Guy Presents: 69

I'd say that's pretty damn impressive considering I've been doing this with Self Promotion for almost 3 years now. I have had a lot of great help along the way, from my days on W3rd radio, to getting onto FM radio thanks to the amazing Jiggy Jaguar, to my short tenure on Metal Nation Radio, to my home on Krocks Radio One Zero Point Radio. All have helped me to where I am now.

I can't thank you guys enough for being there for me through the best and worst of times. I never would have thought that a guy like me with his nerdiness for music would be able to do what I'm doing now. A weekly radio show, endless amounts of promos from bands who wanna be on the air, interviewing bands who come to the Twin Cities, reviewing albums every year for my huge list of yearly albums. It's so damn cool that you guys care enough to enjoy what I do.

This year I wanna be able to do this for the long haul. I wanna be on the air in Minnesota and Wisconsin so everyone who lives by me knows that I'm not just doing a podcast. I wanna be able to get the big time interviews as well as the underground interviews to promote everyone who deserves it. I wanna make That Drummer Guy a household name.

So please continue to support the moniker of That Drummer Guy. Recommend those enjoy Hard Rock and Metal to the show. Any musicians who wanna get on FM radio, shoot me a promo of your album or songs, if you want an interview, let me know I will gladly support you. If you know of a radio station that airs heavy music, or is a rock station that ignores heavy music, let them know I can be there to bring the good music to the masses.

I honestly couldn't have done any of this without you guys, thank you so much for the continuing support. I am here to spread the good word of heavy music, now let's make it even bigger!

- Josh Rundquist!

Hey JR, still loving your show!  I must say I was a little worried that some of the magic might be lost when you said you were going to experiment with a bit more talking in the show.  However, my fears were unfounded and I think you have the balance of talk and music right.  There's nothing wrong with a bit of talk to help your listeners get to know you, and I think you do a great job of not overcooking things.

I've never really listened to much power metal, but I'm really starting to dig it now and look forward to new tunes every week.  I have a feeling you are going to end up costing me a lot of money... :)

Haha Awesome man. it's a damn good feeling spending money on music worth checking out.

I'm glad you are still digging the show. A lot of people were telling me I should talk more on the show because it sounds like I am barely there, so i gave it a shot. I think i found a good balance and a happy medium in it.

Ok guys I know that not many of you actually do check out my current show I have rolling but I do have some cool news for those of you that are interested.

That Drummer Guy will be LIVE once again on a weekly basis as a proud new DJ to InfernalRockRadio ! if all goes to plan I will be LIVE every Tuesday from 5-9pm Eastern (4-8pm) Bringing you 4 hours of the best in Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. No restrictions, completely uncensored, I will play anything and everything that sounds good in the Rock and Metal world. There is also a chatroom as well so you can join me live to request songs and cause some tomfoolery while I'm on the air.

To those of you who can't tune in on Tuesday nights, don't fret. I am still doing my FM show on Krocks Radio One Zero Point Radio and I will still make it into Podcast form so you can hear it anytime on Podomatic.

So again I will be live Tuesday nights from 5-9pm eastern (4-8pm Central) on Infernal Rock Radio. Hope you guys tune in and Dig it!

Thank you very much, I feel so damn honored that I am able to do what I am doing. I've been at this 3 years coming up in June and every year it's been getting bigger and better. I mean within the last year I've met and interviewed some of my biggest heroes. Steven Wilson, Dan from Anathema, Neige from Alcest, Mike Mangini, Jorgen of Shining, Liam and Ben from The Dillinger Escape Plan and countless others, and that's just within the last year.

Thank you for the support!

Some might be interested, some might not care, but I am not doing a show this week. I didn't have time to do anything I was able to what I needed to do to get a show done this weekend. Also KROCKS is playing the show I recorded last week, this week. So it gives me a week to just relax before I start doing the FM/Podcast show and the 4 hour uncensored show on Infernal Rock Radio.

Next week I will feature my interviews with Turisas and the local MN band Neuralizer.
