I've already been to Carl Palmer, DT and Warpaint so far, and I've got Crimson Projeckt on Wednesday and Hiromi in April, which should be great fun. Other than that, I'll see what the future holds.
This is as exciting as superluminal neutrinos. The sexy thing is that this actually exists :D

Jennifer Nettles

Yay!

As a UK country music fan, it's quite disappointing that US artists don't seem to "cross the pond" like they used to. I was lucky to see Sugarland on their only UK date a few years back, and they were excellent. Jennifer is just one of dozens of country acts I'd love to see live, but just can't afford to travel to the US to do so.

ReVamp/Sabaton/Iced Earth on Monday.  Don't really care about IE, so I'll be out of there at a decent hour.  Aiming for a photo opp with Floor.
DT (again) next week in San Fran.
Primal Fear next month.

15th Feb - Dream Theater
4th July - Devin Townsend

Both the DTs. That might seem like a pretty paltry list, but last year I went to one - I won free tickets - and I don't think I went to anything in 2012 or 2011. I mean, local gigs, yeah, but nothing in the calendar. Plus, I've never seen Devin Townsend before. So, we're going in the right direction.

Going old school Friday night.  My buddy who is a huge BOC fan needs a buddy to go with him so I'm his huckleberry.  This will be my 7th time seeing them but mu first since the early 90's.

Exactly!  Attending that show for a mere $20 was all about the opening act.  For what it's worth, Geoff does still have the voice (they did Mindcrime in its entirety) .... but also the douchebag qualities we all expect from him.   :lol

Two so far apart from DT and Gamma Ray I've visited this year:

Brit Floyd 25/09 (are they any good? I hope so)
Sonata Arctica 02/11

Also considering Lacuna Coil in August or so.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

October 6: Brit Floyd
November 8: Anathema

I also consider going to see Katatonia in September, and Dark Tranquillity and Opeth will probably announce some dates for the fall soon.

Going to watch Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators on Saturday at the Pechanga Theater.

Going to see Alter Bridge on October 26th at the Wiltern Theater.
