Monday: Aristocrats

Gilbert Gottfried's version, or George Carlin's?

Both at once :eyebrows:

Better bring a shovel then to dig up Carlin's corpse. :lol

Only the Finnish and South American dates are part of the anniversary tour and the rest of the shows this year will be in support of the new album, but don't worry - the setlist always includes a fair share of classics.

Russian Circles in Boston mid February.

Just added BTBAM/Deafheaven/Intronaut, which is playing two nights later in Boston. Gonna be a hell of a weekend.

Saw AFI with the girlfriend on Saturday.  Not big on the music but they're entertaining live.

2/17: Russian Circles

April: Chvrches

I'm thinking about seeing Queens of the Stone Age (with Chelsea Wolfe opening!) at the end of this month, but I'm not sure if its worth the $60 to go.

Well, based on how quick I am, and hopefully with a bit of good fortune, I will be scratching Transatlantic in favor of......

Tool. March 11th, Bill Graham Civic, the show at the top of my concert bucket list.

Woah, I didn't know Tool was touring!

I wonder if they'll expand that beyond the west coast. I've always wanted to see them live, though the tickets were too pricey for me last time they came through. I've grown to like Tool more, recently, and I would like another chance.

I've got the ProgPower Festival lined up, but no other shows yet for this year. And I'm not expecting it to top last year's Trinity of Opeth, Steven Wilson, and Anathema.

Protest the Hero will be in Raleigh March 30th.  I have literally been a fan of this band for about 2 weeks but I'm super excited about seeing them.

Considering the following:

IE/Sabaton/Revamp - 4/14
Slaughter - 4/4
Jake E. Lee - 4/10
Y&T - 4/11
Stryper - 6/5
Sonata Arctica - 9/11

(all those April shows are at the same bar... good haul for them).

Definitely going
Primal Fear - 5/3

Definite:
Dream Theater NYC 3/28/2014
TesseracT/Intronaut/Cloudkicker NYC 4/30/2014 (haven't bought tickets yet, but made plans to go)
Sonata Arctica NYC 9/4/2014 (haven't bought tickets yet, but made plans to go)

Considering:
Godflesh NYC 4/10/2014 (I love Justin Broadrick's other band Jesu, not too familiar with Godflesh but if I like what I hear of them I'll really consider going)
Mastodon/Gojira/Kvelertak NYC 5/15/2014 (love Mastodon but don't know either Gojira nor Kvelertak...any recommendations for those two would be great!)

Mastodon/Gojira/Kvelertak is an ideal package! Gojira is an up-and-coming prog death metal band (listen to Explosia on youtube).... and I haven't listened too much to Kvelertak but they're not bad either. And Lars Ulrich listens to them, too

Going to see God is an Astronaut tomorrow in Glasgow. Well, as long as they still have tickets available at the venue :p

Saw DT last month in Manchester too, but nothing else on the horizon apart from maybe 65daysofstatic in Edinburgh at the end of the month. I've seen them before though, so not sure if I'll go through for that.
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww
