Introducing the John Petrucci Majesty guitar......... as pictured with Steve Lukather. :lol

Kind of ugly compared to the JPMM models imo, although I'm sure it plays well. I wonder if JP will start using it on the upcoming tour?
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Hideous.  I'll have to see how it plays at NAMM in January

It's aesthetics are lacking, this is true.

The more I look at that guitar, The less I like it :D
I've never actually liked those Music Man Petrucci models  that much . I'm sure that they are great to play though!

I've always been more of a Ibanez JPM  kinda guy ;)  They are a little bit more "dangerous" i guess.....

The guitar has some cool technological features, but aesthetically, it's really....not good, to put it politely.

I think they wanted to try something radical in terms of design, but every single one of those new features, such as recessed switches and new knobs could have simply been added to his JP13 model which is in my opinion a perfect design. They could have even made a carve-top version of it.

The guitar is going to sell for about 2,500 on Musiciansfriend and GC etc, which is basically the same as his JPXI, JP12, and JP13 models. I really find the way it looks off-putting, but I'm sure it sounds great. Still, I don't know if I'll be too interested in more than a test run at GC.

Its super ugly.  Bring back the Picasso Ibanez, easily the coolest JP guitar.  Ernie balls are so small, they look silly on a brute like JP, IMO.

I'm not a big fan of the version on the website with a contrasting color in the shield-shaped center region or the upper contour line. But the ones JP is using on the current tour looked very nice on stage, with the arm covering the contour line and what appeared to be a more traditional (one color, burst) paintjob. The guitar looks smaller than his other EBMM signature models.

I really like the overall shape and the smooth body/neck transition which is reminiscent of the Parker DF shape. I'm a Parker player myself and I love both the classic and the DF shapes. Solely based on the way it looks I would expect it to be very comfortable to play. Add the build quality EBMM is known for and the result should be a great guitar.

Greetings...
Nef

Played it this weekend at NAMM.  Plays like absolute butter.  That's why I ordered about 8 of them for my store.

Just in case anyone is interested, we have several of the Majesty guitars on order and are now available for pre-order.  And of course, DTF members always get a hook up.  Here's what we've got on the way:

2x JP Majesty 6 String Polar Noir
2x JP Majesty 6 String Glacial Frost
1x JP Majesty 6 String Arctic Dream
2x JP Majesty 7 String Polar Noir

PM me if you're interested

The BFR is bigger than the previous 3 models and isn't small at all. I think it just looks that way because JP is a weightlifter. But relatively speaking, it's not a small guitar.
