Marry Me
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

You sir, are a genius.

On topic: it's an amazing solo but I wouldn't call it my favourite section on SDOIT.

I'll never forget
As you lay there and watch me
Accepting the end
I knew you were scared
You were strong I was trying
I gave you my hand
I said it's okay letting go time to leave here
And I'll carry on
The best that I can without you here beside me
Let him come take you home"
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Oh! Well I count that as part of the GK solo. The solo ends when GK ends.

There are so many!
Glass Prison arps
Blind Faith unison
Disappear last verse
Goodnight Kiss solo

But my favorite is JR's Solitary Shell piano solo. It has such a great vibe.

Definitely a strong contender. :hefdaddy I also like how the backing vocals are ahead of main vocals here.

That solo is beautiful and perfect.  I rewind it at least three or four times before moving on to the next song.

I seriously thought I would be alone with my opinion.  Good to see.   That's always been one of my fav DT sections in general.  It's incredible.

Way to many good sections on SDOIT to name them all! A few jump out off the top of my head:

1. The instrumental section of Blind Faith

2. Vocal section of Disappear at 4:28 (mentioned already several times)

3. Intro of About to Crash (piano then the band entering)

4. Guitar solo of Goodnight Kiss

5. Solitary Shell instrumental section (especially that piano solo)

6. Intro of About to Crash (Reprise) (great riff, one of my favorite JP guitar tones EVER)

pls no

For me it's definitely Losing Time. Always brings a tear to my eye when I hear the chorus. Too bad the ending of the "double" song is pretty meh.
