The National Guard flies overhead with a water bomber, drenching everything.  Of course, they drop a scuba diver in the process.

Duncan uses [insert random magic type here] to summon Aqros to put out the fire.

Duncan all of a sudden remembers he has to take a massive leak from an epic drinking binge the previous night, and....well....puts the fire out, pissing on the baby dragon responsible for it in the process.

This works too

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade here, but the idea is that you decide what Duncan does, and I decide what happens in the world :lol

You guys can't write the entire thing for me after all :P

The art looks fantastic, as usual. Crazy to think about how much better this looks than before even though it was pretty awesome before. You've got some major talent.  :tup

Thanks so much! I have evolved a lot as an artist since the original, that's for sure.

I'm really liking how Chapter 2 is turning out so far. I made a fire brush in Photoshop to speed up the process of coloring all this damn fire, and it has a pretty neat look to it! I redid the last page of chapter 1 with the new speedy fire brush:

I agree with UMH.  I had the same reaction.  I thought the original looked great.  But the look of this latest batch really shows off your evolution as an artist.  ...but, personally, I'm not a fan of the "fire brush."  :dunno:

I like the firebrush better. It makes it look even more high-quality and expensive to make  :lol

Which is silly, since using the firebrush takes about a quarter of the time as painstakingly drawing the fire out!

Which is why I'm going to keep using it :lol

It's finally the weekend after the most horrible week of working in retail! :D

I should be able to finish the next part of Duncan today provided I don't distract myself too much. Like what I'm doing right now.

Here it is, Chapter 2! I wanted to use another suggestion or two, but this ended up going on too long, SO HERE IT IS.

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Petunia should definitely put a foot up Duncan's rear for even suggesting the offering, though. Like see if she can kick a field goal with him.

Awesome chapter 2!

Challenge the Lord of Flame to see how you can stop the fire.  (psssst: yatzee!)
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Tell the little fire golem to suck up all of the fire in Peacewood and become a MEGA GOLEM. Then singe Petunia's clothes off.

Speak up, I can't hear you.

In other news, in my spare time when I was tired of drawing, I've been working on bringing Duncan to the third dimension!

My first time working with Sculpey, learning as I go. It's SO HARD to keep his massive head balanced properly :lol

I'm thinking the fire elemental should challenge all of the other fire to a fist fight and knock the flames unconscious.

I don't know why I'm thinking this, but it's what I'm thinking, so.
Sincerely,
Jaffa

Way back when I used to use Sulpey, I often found it necessary to build a wire framework to hold standing figures or unbalanced characters. It didn't need to be to fancy, simple copper wire twisted into a rough semblance of the sculpture worked wonders.
