Wow, I never knew about this.  So THAT'S where all these DTF-specific memes came from!

Sounds really really fun, and the comic looks really really great!

Ole Bosky is gonna pee himself when he sees this.

No way!  I...  :accident:

By the way, the old one is here:  http://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=28146.0

Edan, if you want to pick up the story from where it left off instead of starting over, I can un-archive it.  Most important thing is that you are okay.  Some of us were genuinely worried, since you appeared to just drop off the face of the earth.  Glad you're back.
I have an emote! :duncan:

And thanks, but I'd rather start fresh than continue the old one.

thank you for the warm welcome everyone, it's good to be back!

So I'll never find out what's on the other side of the door!!??!?  :getoffmylawn:

Just messing with ya, way too stoked to have ya back.

As to the story, how about Duncan sees a skittish, scared dragon escaping the fire, and befriends it, agreeing to help it find his evil dragon older step brother that set the town on fire.

I like this.  And the s'mores option.  And anything having to do with Karp.

And thanks, but I'd rather start fresh than continue the old one.

OK.  Wasn't sure whether you knew the old one was archived.  I don't know if you read it, but there was actually some pretty funny discussion and "fan art" on pages the last 3 pages (10-12) while we were trying to lure you to come back and post.

I have no further suggestion, but did anyone else read the last panel in the voice of the narrator from The Twilight Zone?  :lol

Peacewood. A Place of Peace.

Except when it is a place of BEING ON FIRE....in the twilight zone.
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?

You can suggest anything you like (keep it roughly PG-13 though)

Working on the next part now, not sure when it will be ready, but stay tuned!

More suggestions are still welcome though, there's plenty of time in the creation process to add more stuff in.

Edit... yup, that ought to do it.  And besides, this guy looks like he could be a fascist dictator too.

Ouch! 1-0 for the bacon.
There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing. They were some of the most carefree stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him. And now he's died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard.

I think in the ancient language of Sandwood, 'vegetarian' is the word for 'shitty hunter'.

In the meantime while I work on it, here's a single page preview that doesn't really give anything away:

:caffeine:  Will any of them involve water golums, orcs, and beheadings?  :caffeine:

Actually, while all of that was amazing, part of the fun is seeing how you present our ideas in new and creative ways, so I actually hope you go in a different direction instead of repeating.

A dragon crushes the building Duncan is running to, and is about to incinerate Duncan, when another dragon tackles it. Duncan thinks he was saved by that dragon when it turns out Peacewood is on fire because of the dragons fighting each other.

Summon a WATER GIANT or ICE GIANT to put out the flames!

:onfire:

...or summon an ICE GIANT, who is kinda stupid and promptly melts before he can do anything, but the resulting water puts out the fire.  And then the steam from the fire and water is used to cook some yummy Chinese dumplings.  And Duncan and Petunia sit down and have dim sum.
