NWA were basically a one-album wonder, but that doesn't make them any less awesome.

Fuck Da Police, Straight Outta Compton, and Express Yourself are all great songs, but the rest of their material is boring for me. Ice Cube's solo work is much better.

I've been addicted to 6 Feet Deep by Gravediggaz. Some of the songs are just so relaxing and peaceful, despite the grim nature of the lyrics. Mommy, Whats A Gravedigga? is a track I am absolutely in love with, despite it being so short.

Has anyone heard of Army of the Pharaohs? They're a supergroup including Vinnie Paz, Celph Titled, Esoteric, Apathy, amongst others. Very good flow, I forget if you can post youtube videos here, suffice it to say that everyone should check out "Battle Cry" from The Torture Papers.

I have Ritual of Battle, which I really like. Bloody Tears is a great song. Damn Vinnie Paz, lovable, fatass Muslim Italian metalhead that he is.

Spitfall is one of my least favourite songs on the album, but I guess it's pretty cool.

I saw Chali 2na with the New Orleans funk outfit 'Galactic'. Galactic made a record called 'From the corner to the block' with all kinds of hiphop MC's, and the only 'assignment' these guys were given, is that every song has to be about a 'corner'. You can guess about the different interpretations of every MC's lyrics, pretty cool idea. Simple, but cool.

Anyway, I saw Chali 2na mentioned on the first page OTT by Accelerando. Awesome, bad ass voice.
Not 'Down To F***', but 'Dream Theater Forums' .

I really haven't listened to rap in a long time, but the one band I really got into was Cypress Hill.  Black Sunday is a pretty good album.

I didn't realize they did a Spanish language version of Insane in the Brain... sounded pretty cool.
In high school my buddies and I built a Van Der Graaf generator.  You know, to get girls.

I only listened to it a few times, but I like his first record a lot better. Any other Kid Cudi fans here?

Haven't heard the new one yet, but The End of Day is very good so I will check it out soon.

In other news, P.O.S. is now one of my favorite rappers.

I like the musical maturity (incredible to say this about a hip-hop album) that it's display on Man on the Moon II.

So many different types of music used and I also loved that it's so personal lyric-wise.

But you gotta agree with me here, antigoon, Scott Mescudi vs. The World is fucking awesome!

I'm gonna listen to the record again after I finish my first listen of Eminem's Recovery. On 25 to Life now...I don't care much for his other stuff but this record has been good so far.

Edit: I cannot STAND Rihanna whatsoever. She's my least favorite pop artist by a rather large margin right now, but the hook in Love the Way You Lie...shit's good. Real good.

Absolutely addicted to Kid Cudi right now. Man on the Moon II finally clicked for me, and I've just been listening to all of his stuff. People talk about how his new shit sucks, but it doesn't; it's just different.

If you don't like it, don't give up on Cudi. Check out his first mixtape, as well as his first LP.

I don't think it's better, but it's definitely just as good, but for different reasons.

Also, Lupe Fiasco, pre-Lasers is some of the best stuff that has come out in the past decade. His flow is just so good.

Just picked up N.W.A 's Strait outta Compton and it is fantastic.

Its heavy hitting and everyone on the album is very passionate in their performance, and this really makes for an excellent album.

I can't believe I never knew about this album.
