From Psycho California Fest's Facebook page:
Indian wrote us today with the following: "Indian has come to the point where we can no longer be a band. We have cancelled the few shows we had coming up, including our appearance at Psycho California. We are sincerely sorry to the organizers, who have been nothing but accommodating, and to the people who were wanting to see us play the fest." - INDIAN

Oh hey. Leviathan's new album "Scar Sighted" can be listened to on Profound Lore's Bandcamp page.
https://profoundlorerecords.bandcamp.com/album/scar-sighted

Today is the day of great streams holy shit. Enslaved, Psycroptic, Cancer Bats, and Leviathan? I think today should be a designated holiday.

They're not really that extreme anymore, but Moonspell's new album is fantastic. One of the best gothic metal albums I've heard.

I was always a Moonspell fan, even with the faux Peter Steele vocals.   ;)

Nasty!  I love the album cover, too!  The opening riff reminds me of early Slayer.

Cattle Decapitation are done with mixing and mastering their new album! It won't be released until mid-summer though and they also said that it'll be awhile before any more details come out about it as it's still 5 months out from release :(.

If you're a fan of Australia's Portal, then you'll probably be all over this like feathers on tar. This is some sinister, vile stuff. And it's so good.

Manufactured Extinct, the first single from Cattle Decapitation's new album The Anthropocene Extinction, out August 7th everybody!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=u8t8g8lU4ms

This is straight up amazing. I've listened to it a couple of times now and this album has serious potential to be my album of the year with a single as insane as this, maybe even more than album of the year. I was expecting to really anticipate this record but this song...

I want to pick up a Morbid Angel album. Covenant or Altar's of Madness seems to be the two to pick from? Or should I go somewhere else album wise?

I'm always looking for good death metal that doesn't overuse blast beats. I naturally like the more thrashy, progressive or melodic death metal.

DM bands I like:

Death
Atheist
Cynic
Opeth if they count
Pestilence if they count

..yeah that's pretty much it. The death metal I do like, I LOVE but the genre as a whole has never clicked with me.

Well, this answered my post above quite perfectly. That's the most blatant Death ripoff ever with absolutely 0 originality and I LOVE it.

Any other bands similar to Death?

Band called Black Fast kind of are. Got a bit of black metal in their veins as well but they at times resemble Death in such a good way.  :metal

That new Abigail Williams album

That SICK artwork by Stevie Floyd is some grim stuff

And musically this is some spiteful black metal. It's got the anguished vocals and the filthy production.
Music is so intense, loving this record.

I utilize Death Metal radio on Pandora for weight training, because I hate it so I need as much energy as I can get. Some songs from Behemoth - The Apostasy came on. So I bought the album- not sure if it's a good one of theirs.

That's not true black metal. You can understand too many of the words.  :lol   Kidding, of course. That's a pretty killer song.

My bro had to do a lyric video for an extreme metal band recently.

And the words came up on screen but all you could hear was " RO RO RO RO RO ROROROROR RO RO RO RO "

:rollin. So hilarious.

Sinsaenum "Army of Chaos" Official Music Video

Hadn't heard about this project but the line-up was so crazy and random I had to check it out.

Sean Z (Daath, Chimaira): vocals
Attila Csihar (Mayhem): vocals
Frédéric Leclercq (Dragonforce): guitar, bass, synth, vocals
Stephane Buriez (Loudblast): guitar
Heimoth (Seth): bass
Joey Jordison (VIMIC, ex Slipknot): drum

Never thought I would see members from Mayhem, Dragonforce and Slipknot well ex-Slipknot in the same band.

So I finally got around to listening to Autotheism by The Faceless. How good is this album? Any fans knocking about?
