So my g/f is a finalist in a contest where she could win a summer of free travel while doing various fun/interesting jobs.  Part of the contest is to make a video and get as many 'likes' as possible.  If you're so inclined, check it out and click on the heart to get her some more votes.  Thanks!

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

That site is really bad. By default they sort by most-votes, which means the top runners are likely to get even more votes.

Yeah, it's not exactly high tech.  But I'm pretty sure that vote total is only one of the factors they consider... I don't think the person with the most votes is automatically declared the winner. Supposedly each video is also reviewed substantively, and they also factor in the results from the first round, and then the top videos go to a panel of judges who then declare a final winner.
