I can't believe people still wonder about a reunion of the Genesis classic lineup.  Phil Collins can't even play drums anymore and can barely sing (he didn't sound good at all on the Genesis tour five plus years ago), and considering Peter Gabriel's age, he wouldn't have a prayer of singing that Genesis material from 40 years ago.  I guess people want to be able to say, "I saw the classic Genesis lineup," but I wouldn't want to see a bunch of old guys give a subpar performance of all of those great songs.  But that's just me.

Tony was asked recently as well, although more likely just with Phil and Mike.

I´m putting together the questions right now...Steve just played at Cruise to the Edge, which also had Sons of Apollo, Neal Morse, Yes (of course) and a bunch of other bands, and he´s in Quebec today. I can´t wait to meet the man on Monday!

Oh c'mon.  Phil didn't sound good in 2006?  He sounded great! Sure the songs were tuned lower but he still has the energy and hit all the notes with that slight adjustment.

You are right though about a reunion in 2018.  Phil even has trouble walking now let alone playing drums or singing.  Peter seems in decent shape but he has trouble hitting a lot of notes now.  As much as I would love to see a Genesis reunion, it would be a shell of its former self.

To be honest, I would actually love it if Tony and Mike toured with Ray Wilson and played some old Genesis tunes but there is less of a chance of that happening than a full reunion with Peter.

On the footage I saw, no, he did not sound good.

Looks like room for a US Tour in the summer unless he's going to take the summer off.
