Hey everyone.
I was in the mood for giving you a free contribution of my own.
My upload speed is not very fast, so I chose something I could upload quickly.
Here's one of DT's shortest headline shows ever.
For those unfamiliar with this, here's the story behind it:

This is the infamous show that had to be stopped during "The Spirit Carries On" by the Fire Marshall, because the theater was oversold and was considered to be a fire hazard. James was told by the police that if he went out on stage after "One Last Time" he would be arrested, that's why Mike sings part of the song.

More details from the info file:

Lineage-

AUD>SILVERDISC "THE SPIRIT REALLY CARRIES ON">NERO(FLAC)

1. Regression
2. Overture 1928
3. Strange Deja Vu
4. Through My Words
5. Fatal Tragedy
6. Beyond This Life
7. Instrumental
8. Through Her Eyes
9. Home
10. The Dance of Eternity (incl. Keyboard Solo)
11. One Last Time
12. The Spirit Carries On (Vocals by Mike Portnoy)

  • But then I took a Hef to the knee...
-gasp-  THANKS
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Those sites are a total bitch! You never know which one will take your link down in two days, or cap the speed at 30kB/s!

Yes, that's right.
However, the site offers 190 days of activity and high download speeds.
Can't understand what went wrong, it worked fine for me many times already.
Anyway, I'll put it at Mega and there'll be no problems for sure.

Update:

Just posted a new download link.

I am honestly surprised it's not on youtube, really. After all it's a pretty well known happening and not a hard bootleg to get at all, so I expected it to be somewhere up on henrickmoe's channel or on completedreamtheater.

I feel really bad for the attendees of truncated shows like this or the one with the fight over who was headlining.
"I raised the baby, I changed the baby's diapers.  Whenever the baby had projectile diarrhea, I was there in the line of fire.  I even got a little in my mouth!  I sacrificed so much for my baby.  Now my baby hates me and thinks Mike Mangini is its real father!"

For those who didn't attend the show the following night, it is a shame. But fortunately for me, I went to both this show and the one the following night, and walked away with one of the most memorable concert experiences I've had. And for the following night, we got a longer setlist than we would have had the first show gone off without a hitch.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.
