I'm just waiting for a :jingleboy:.  Not ever going to ask for it though, because when you ask, you fall prey to the "careful what you ask for" motif.  Had a buddy ask for a nickname once.  We decided to call him "Lumpy".  Mason asked to know who would play him in DTF: The Movie.  I pointed out Peter Griffin bore a striking resemblance.   :lol

If by "cat", you mean "cock"; and by "the bag", you mean "his mouth", then yes, I suppose it is.

Oh how I've missed roulette trash talk.

TEH RESULTS^ this will do the job Nek, I won't bold the whole post  ;)

Hey... I want some cheering... "wow that was fast... you're the efficiency queen, lady".. blah blah blah...

Now... I received three bands that I am very familiar with… I accepted the submissions though, as they weren’t in my Last FM… yeah.. my last FM is only synced with Spoify.. :/ and I have been using it for less than a year… I guess..
No problem.. I haven’t got the time to send the songs back and forth, so here we are.. If they are not there, good luck with finding and sending me some of my fave bands… like someone did this round  :lol

Scorpion - Gamma Ray - Rebellion in Dreamland 6
Kai Hansen!!!! What a talented dude!!! Rebellion in Dreamland is a very competent song with the solo, vocals and everything.. always enjoyed Gamma Ray … but not enough to want to go deeper into their catalogue..Plus  I am more picky with Power metal than I used to be.. anthem-like songs are not doing much for me anymore…  Sending me old-school power metal (or old-school stuff in any sub-genre)  is not a good idea really.. I am sucker for modern tunes… If you've got something like Kamelot, Evergrey, Avatantasia .. shoot..
But again… solid song..
I had a ticket for their gig (with Helloween headlining  the show)  last week which was canceled the last minute due to the health problems of Andi Deris. I’d expect Hansen to step up, do the job and save the night as he sang for the band for five years… two gigs at a night for a vocalist? So what ? :P
So you get -1 for my ruined night… :P
+1 because I love you  :heart

Lonestar - Bossk- Pick Up Artist - 7.3    :omg:  :lol

+1 bonus for the band name… honestly when lonestar sent me a song by a band named Bossk, as you might expect I first laughed so hard,
then I thought "this  can’t be that good.. he sent me the song for the obvious reason"… for shits and giggles...
but dang.. this band rocked as hard as the big boss himself…

ahem.... so yeah... the first part of the song didn't do much... I said meh ..just another death/doom band with some harsh & abrasive vocals and stuff... at around the 5 minute mark the song took a what the fuck effect... that surprise added tons to the song and left me saying.. oh, let me hear that again.. yes! I like it... that second half is thoroughly engaging … great band with a fantastic name! I'm sold :)
the deep growls at the second half are just so charming... reminded me of some Saturnus, Swallow the Sun, Ihsan stuff... good shot chef... you nailed it!

Onno - Lamb of God – Reclamation 5,7
Yess.. This is where Last FM gets a bit misleading…LoG are one of the most competent ones out there…
Something' missing in their formula though….
Gojira – LoG =missing element… Find it and you’re the king!

Ruba - Saosin – Collapse - 7
soaring vocals.. tasteful riffs… nice drum fills here and there.... good stuff.. I like...

Elite - Moonloop – Strombus - 7,1
melodic death metal meets djent & prog..yesss... nice mix of brutal and clean vocals.. also yessss
quality solo.. tasteful bass..
Album purchased ;)

Ytse - Brad Paisley Time Warp - 5
teh link

Technically competent.. top notch musicianship.. I loved everything but Brad Pailey himself..  :lol true story :P
The drum solo, key leads,  the strings.. everything else was perfect.. no.. no I don't like the strings either, take that duo out of this equation and we’re good .. yeah it’s really good when the country vibe didn’t really present itself..  I loved the jazzy sections.. the bass & the drum solo back to back towards the end are yumm… The only thing that is to my liking by Pailey is the the bluesy solo at the 2.20 minute mark
I gave you +1 for your guts then took it back for your attempt to torture me…

JingleBoy-Shania Twain-From This Moment - 3
Ok..the vocal harmonies and the piano chords are all very good… it gets thicker towards to end… nice textures and all… but all these don't change the fact that listening to a song like this makes me feel like I am watching a Disney movie…  :lol
If you're getting a second vocalist on board... go for some contrast.. add some counterpoints.. add some gritty vocals, some growls.. that's the way to go about it... man.. why don't the musicians get it?! it's easy :p

Lolzeez - Riverside - Living In The Past - 8.5

I have their entire catalog  :lol. When I saw the submission I ran to my Last FM.. obviously I haven’t done any R listening on Spotify… So I accepted the submission… It’s obviously a masterpiece…

I guess I’ll see you in May at the gig then zeez ;)

Lolzeez  8,5
lonestar 7,3
Elite  7,1
Ruba  7
Scorpion  6
Onno  5,7
Ytse  5
Jingle 3

Next round: Bass
Deadline: 26 March Tuesday
