*deep breath*

Anciients - Heart of Oak
Cult of Luna - Somewhere Along the Highway
Earthside - A Dream in Static
El Drugstore - Plague Ship
Exotic Animal Petting Zoo - I Have Made My Bed In Darkness
Haken - Affinity
Ihsahn - After
Leprous - Bilateral
Midnight Odyssey - Shards of Silver Fade
The Ocean - Anthropocentric
Speaking to Stones - Elements
Thy Catafalque - Tűnő Idő Tárlat
Thy Catafalque - Róka Hasa Rádió
Thy Catafalque - Rengeteg
Vanden Plas - Chronicles of the Immortals: Netherworld (Path 1)

the only two here I'm a little less hyped about are Cult of Luna and Vanden Plas and I couldn't decide which to cut so I cut neither of them which screws hardcore with my listening cycle plans but I may just spin Haken ahead of the rest because it's the new Haken

i basically have all the new music i'm going to need until July  :lol

p.s. guess which of these is the one i accidentally got obsessed with

Curious to see Earthside in there, not something I'd expect from you. Was it a blind purchase or have you heard it? Just recently bought it myself too and while I'm not 100% yet on that Lajon Witherspoon dude, the album's pretty solid and I love the Moscow Symphony Orchestra on this one.

uhh why wouldn't you expect it from me  :lol
i spun the album like twice beforehand and it's like one of the most expensive cd's i've ever bought (because of $5 shipping jesus christ why) so obviously i liked it :P
the most out-of-place one is the vanden plas one tbh and it's partially there just because i want to connect with the fogeys musically instead of getting nonstop paramacore (there is a ton of paramacore in this order as well as my previous post, so)

No idea actually, I guess I thought you were too br00tal for Earthside. The instrumentals are so peaceful apart from a few breakdowns.

Gotta wonder where all the money is coming from, you seem to buy like 10 albums a month or something and I'm still recovering financially from the 15 albums I bought this year.

Frost* - Falling Satellites

Beardfish - Sleeping in Traffic Pts. 1 & 2, Destined Solitaire, Mammoth, The Void

The Beardfish albums are in a bargain-priced box-set, with a booklet featuring all the original artwork from each album. I already had SIT2, but it's still worth it for the other albums.

Toothgrinder - Nocturnal Masquerade
Thy Catafalque - Sgùrr

i needed to get something from amazon so i got some 2016 albums alongside it  :corn
also the Thy Catafalque because there was a really good deal on it considering it's kind of unreasonably expensive everywhere else

You are late.  :)

My recent haul (and the first multi-album haul in quite a while for me):
-Flotsam & Jetsam (self-titled)
-Jelly Jam - Profit
-Lacuna Coil - Delirium

I have not had time yet to listen to any of them all the way through.  But the bits I have heard from each so far are really good, so this looks like a promising haul.

Oh, that's interesting. It's not considered one of the best Devy albums, that's for sure. New fan?

I actually only picked it up because I'm going to be seeing him with BTBAM in Oct.  I hear a lot of good things, but I've never heard much beyond Vai's S&R and the first SYL album when it was first released.   Beyond that, I've never heard a note.

I checked it during someone's roulette. It didn't grab me. I'll have to check it again.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Brent sent me two songs from them in my roulette, I quite liked them and the record store had it for a decent price so yeah, that was an easy decision.

Most of your entries were too obscure so I wasn't able to find the physical CDs in Russia so far. :lol Will have to order from Amazon or something.

I'd be interesting to hear what you think of it. The first SYL album is... definitely not one of Devin's better works. The followup, however, City, is a masterpiece.

Devin has made music in a shitton of different genres over the years, so if you're interested be sure to check out a few different albums. If you're not sure which ones, head over to the Devin thread here on DTF  :)
