Kvelertak Appreciation Thread v. Meir out in March.

Finally, a thread where we can worship the amazingness that is Kvelertak! They are a punk/rock/black metal band from Norway and there debut is the best them.

New album entitled MEIR will be out in March. Cue the excitement!!!

KVELERTAK also known as that band with all THE RIFFS

Despite the fact that I listen to them all the time, this is my go-to band for a windows down drive through the city during the summer.

Search function couldn't find a Kvelertak though.

Kvelertak signed to Roadrunner for all non-Scandinavian fans. So that puts them on the same roster as Opeth, Dream Theater, and Gojira.  :tup

You know what I'd love to see? A Kvelertak/Black Tusk/Baroness tour. So that was a very random thought, but it just came across my mind how awesome that tour would be.  :lol

On a related note, I think it's nothing but good news for them to be on Roadrunner. Roadrunner isn't my favorite label, but they're not bad by any means at all. I hope that they flourish with some good fuck whats the word?!? I'm going to go with ads because I can't think of the word at all right now and it's making me kind of mad

So John Baizley did the album artwork for Meir, just to let you know it's a bit NSFW, Mods if it's not cool then please feel free to remove it, but like I said it's the album cover...so I figure it's okay.


I feel like there's more to the cover since they said it was a lo-fi shot, but even if it's just that and white boarders for the rest of the cover I'd be down for that, as it'd be a pretty cool choice stylistically.

It could just be Facebook breathing down their necks, Black Tusk's artwork is all done by Baizley and they let the boobers hang out on the album covers, at least the last one they did.

So I just listened to it, and wasn't super interested throughout most of it, but that last track was fucking phenomenal! I think the track might be good enough to get to look back and enjoy the rest, so I'll give it another go.

So they're doing a headline tour in the is with Black Tusk and Cancerbats, pretty much one of my dream tours and its not even touching the South East coast. Fuck my life. They're playing four hours away from where I used to live. All my friends who I showed the them to Kvelertak are going and can't wait to tell me how amazing it'll be. Fuck my life even further.
