Dunno really. Everybody's just really cool. I don't even really listen to DT that much anymore. I guess given that the music I listen to is such an important part of my life, it seems natural to converse in a community of those with similar tastes.

I'd actually given up on internet forums for a time-I went through a series of communities where I wound up as either a moderator or an admin, and they always wound up falling apart because, sooner or later, you wound up with cliques and eventually one clique drove everyone else away-and I actually started posting here largely on a whim, after lurking for a couple of years. The people here are pretty cool, there's usually at least two or three bands recommended a week that I wind up loving, and between Orbert's discography threads and Kev's Song of the Day threads I seem to find a lot to talk about. So far so good :D

TBH, I just returned to this and 5/8 within the last week after a near 18 month hiatus. Most on here probably dont even remember me because i never really posted a lot.  I used to visit the old DT.net, and I didn't understand the community fracture.  It all seemed like a lot of unnecessary BS.  I still love and listen to DT, and that is what brought me back.

Oh, and I miss the animated KHAN!!!! avi.

I don't post an awful lot, but I am a regular lurker. Even if you cast aside for a moment our collective love for DT, this community is amazing. Whenever I need cheering up, a peek through the 'Post Your Pic' or 'Post Funny Stuff' threads usually does the trick. I also love things like 'lolnuggetz', this emoticon :dangerwillrobinson: and Vlasto Day. (BTW, when was the last time we did this? We must do it soon.)

Anyways, keep it up!  :hefdaddy

Exactly.

Though the last Vlasto day was pretty recently, though you may have missed it.

DTF, because why the hell not?

(In reality I was just bored, suddenly it's a forum I'm somewhat turning active in)

*Shrugs* I've been lurking around this place and its prior incarnations since 2003. Might as well spend another decade stalking & making the occasional post.

Wanted to find people I could discuss DT with because none of my friends share the love I have for them  :sadpanda: Now that I've been on a mini hiatus from listening to them, it's a nice forum to discuss NHL/NFL/other bands I listen to/etc as well. Definitely the best forum I've ever been a part of  :)

What immediately drew me here was the General Music Discussion sub-forum. I've discovered a ton of great music, thanks to this forum. Even though I don't really "know" anyone here, I like almost all of the posters and it feels like a real community.
