Why DTF?
« on: January 16, 2013, 02:26:52 PM »
I sometimes ask myself (clearly I got nothing better to do) "Why DTF?". And then I remember this badass community. Seriously,It always takes me MONTHS to really like a forum's community. That certainly wasn't the case here. The moment that I felt I was a part of something was the roulette. Hot damn,I loved doing that. Thanks to you guys,I discovered Opeth,Tool,Symphony X,Haken,Ayreon and many more. I also made a ton of friends here. (No enemies that I know of.) I'd just like to say thanks to all of you. This is my second most visited site on my computer. I love all of you. No homo. I know this is a really out of place and worthless thread idea, but I just wanted to share my thoughts. Thanks for the 9999th time.

Not so fun facts:I actually found about this forum during a french lesson. I was bored and sneakily looking on the internet. My first post was posted while I was taking a dump.

Along with another community I frequent, the reason why I've stuck to here a lot is because it's not an exclusive group like I'm finding Decibel's forums to be. If you like a band not many others like it's all good, where many other musical communities just shit on your musical opinions if they're different. Also the memberbase is full of awesome, radular people who I hope to meet, and chill with.

Too bad we all didn't know that, you may have won "best first post" of 2012 in a landslide.  Or, did you?  Can't remember.

Oh, and this is the only online forum I visit.

This is the only forum community I am a part of as well (apart from finance forums... not really a community).

I frequented MP's form from 2007 (my first Meet and Greet with DT) until mid 2011; I'm still a member of said forum, I just don't log-in or read that forum anymore.  Not a slight to MP at all... nor do I harbor any ill feelings toward him; I simply wish to receive DT-related news and I wish to connect with like-minded individuals who share a love for this band.  This is the best place to do so.

Everyone here is very kind and personable... I enjoy this forum.
"Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter; Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."  Ecclesiastes 12:13

Now with Twitler taking a high end steak of this caliber and insulting the cow that died for it by having it well done just shows zero respect for the product, which falls right in line with the amount of respect he shows for pretty much everything else.- Lonestar

DTF is the best them! :metal

Seriously, this is a great community. It's not even been a year for me and this place has changed my musical tastes more than the preceding ten years did together. And that doesn't even take the awesome peeps around here into account.

 to you all, you're awesome.
