I don't know what the whole deal is with consolation whatever, so I'm just going to do the survivors the traditional way.

What do you mean, what's the whole deal with the consolation? It increases the suspense, because you are left wondering until the consolation to see if a song that only barely missed the cut is actually out or if it manages to make the finals after all.

I don't get it. Is this the final round then or is there one more round and I hide the results?

Basically the song that finishes 3rd goes to the "Consolation Survivor" which is between the final album Survivor and the Band's Final Survivor. Whoever wins this Survivor of 3rd Best Songs gets a slot in the Final Survivor. Well that's how some people do it.

You can either run your album Survivors to a final round, two crown a 1st Place and 2nd Place to advance to the Final Survivor, or you can cut them a round early and send the 2 "surviving songs" to the Final Survivor. Up to you. I personally prefer the 1st method.
