I made a hiphop song!
« on: July 20, 2009, 03:47:55 AM »
Well.. almost!

The story behind the creation in short:

I was playing around with some drumsounds in my Yamaha CS-1x synth, and I created the beat you hear in the beginning. Then I recorded bass and guitars, and after that my drummer played some real drums on top of it. After some editing and twisting of the sounds, it started to sound as a solid beat.

The 'Free Beats' video has been one of my favorites lately, and by lack of a real vocalist I decided to use some of the vocalists of that clip:

So.. here's my Free Beats Remix:

Free Beats... that was funny.

BTW: that remix... is that Tom Jones on lead vocals?... sure sounds like him.

Cool stuff.

Thanks man! The guy on lead vocals is the black man from the free beats vid. I was so impressed with him that I used him as the main part of the song. I didn't even have to pitch-shift him, he was singing in perfect A minor, dead on. Incredible guy.
