Come on guys...BOTH ballads making the top 3 on an album like this?  Does that seem right to you??

Jesus H, how is Enter Sandman not gone yet?
Cause it's basically the only good Metallica song.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. G. Sertillanges

Nothing Else Matters, also known as one of the worst songs the band did pre-ReLoad.

Wherever I May Roam. Horribly overrated song.

Yet still easily better than almost every song on this album. Seriously, that song is iconic for a reason.

Intro: One of their most instantly recognizable.

Riffs: Adventurous and good enough that this track could've easily been put on Justice and fit in without bringing down its quality level at all.

Solo: Blistering. It hits the ground running, has that cool halftime chill part and revs up again for more asskicking.

Aside from just personally not liking it for purely subjective reasons, there is no criticism about this song that couldn't be applied to well over half of the other songs.

A very good post Floyd, I completely agree with it. :)
