I love it, I always crack up when I hear the song. Collins's vocals are hilarious.

In the "it instantly brightens up my day?" way, I FUCKING LOVE IT.

In the "it instantly brightens up my day because of good it is" way, ahahahahhahaaahaha.

I'm obviously in the minority, but I like that vocal style. And thus I like most of the Majesty demo songs. Granted, Collins is nothing special when it comes to that sort of singing, but to act like he was totally incapable of singing is kind of overkill IMO.
Yeah, I have no idea what the cakeless person in that analogy is meant to be eating. If he's got some sort of cake substitute, it should really have been worked into the narrative at some point. As it stands, the options are:

  • Hoard a cake just to stare blankly into its doughy edifice.
  • Make futile chewing motions with your mouth while starving to death.

I never cared for the song. Actually, I never even understood it. Every time I listen to it I just think: "Is the gift section gonna come now? Nouch! Now? Nope... Now?" Until it comes, so that is the only bit that's been carved in my mind  :lol

In that song he just doesn't sound really good. It's not his fault that it's hilarious though :)

In terms of hilarity, this has nothing on Afterlife '86. That one is just ridiculous.

It's my favorite Majesty song (along with A Vision) and Collins wasn't really that bad.  The worst part about it was the recording so they couldn't correct the levels on such a cheap demo.

What about the original Afterlife? And yes, A Vision is a near great song :)

That's the one song where Collins is unequivocally bad. Though it's a better-written song than most of the others, obviously.

Ya know, I actually only heard the original Afterlife for the first time about a week ago.  I found a boot on some site I probably am not supposed to name.  Anyway, I didn't dig Chris's melodies that much in the song but it wasn't a great recording so I can't judge too harshly.

I don't :( I do have a Canadian Rap one, and the ex-boyfriend is slowly catching up with the other ones, so we're the annoyance of the non-DT hood.

The best part is when you say something out of context. "It's too big, I need something smaller." "-Lol what Milena?"

Yes. I can picture outselves in the National Potrait Gallery in London looking at one of the allegorical pictures depicting a good savage offers some exotic plants to Queen Elizabeth and one of us suddenly saying: "The gift we bring Your Majesty."

Things would get exciting (and we kicked out) in a matter of seconds.  :lol

The trick is that you need to turn them into DT fans yourself first, and it's a long, slow and in most cases painful process :D

It's never an easy task. Try with torture, works with the 52% of the 1.5% that survives the treatment.
