The chorus is great, but the ending is a bit stereotypical and cliche and there isn't enough to the song to justify keeping it, even though as I said the chorus is great.

Perhaps. I do think that the song could have used another verse and chorus, but hey, it's a song over 40 minutes, there's really nothing more to expect.
