Interesting that you mention Icarus Witch.  The drummer on their debut (Capture the Magic) is John Passarelli.  I was in a band called Chucklehead with John, prior to Icarus Witch.  I remember seeing him after Chucklehead and he gave me this disc he'd burned for me, of a new band he was in called Icarus Witch.  I still have it somewhere, with the info on it, handwritten with a Sharpie.

First, no one in Toronto cares about the CFL. Second, attempted burn is failed ... They are playing in the Eastern Division Championship game this Sunday.

Although, the CFL gets a bad rap.  It's a very fast and exciting game. Games never end in a tie. Chad Owens of the Argos set the all purpose yardage record this year - over 3800 in an 18 game schedule!  There is tons of offense in any given CFL game.   Anthony Calvillo just set the CFL all time passing record - 76,000+ yards.

Actually, this could be the best season for the Leafs in years!  The way things are looking, they've got as good a chance as anyone to make the playoffs, or even win the Cup!

Not bad, nice opening, vocals were alright. Had the potential to get stuck in my head, so the catchyness factor was there.

Put me in a bit of a bind here, didn't realize it was a cover of a classical piece. I made a snap decision and decided to allow all covers. Unfortunately, nothing special was done with this one, it was the same piece with guitar instead of an orchestra, and I prefer the orchestra.

Ravenheart- Christian Death- Deathwish
Goth, can be a hit or miss genre with me. If it hits, you could score very high, this one ended up kinda in the middle. Really great guitar tone, nice and agressive sound to it, but the vocals were just a bit too drippy for me.

I got the feeling this is an intro into another song or a whole album, and I want to hear that song or album now. I actually toyed with the idea of making this a round theme. Good instrumental.

I do want to stress to everyone not to take the first round scores as an absolute indicator of my musical taste, one listen is hardly enough for a song to grow on someone, I was looking for the wow factor of that first time. That is why the time increases as well as the amount of listens as the rounds go on, so I can grow into the songs in stages. I guess you could call it a progressive roulette.
