Made a balls up this round. The link I had had a shortened version of the track I had prepared- realised I was well over the time limit and have been frantically finding something to send.

OK guys, just finished my first round of listenings. You assholes are not making this easy, eight killer songs. I really don't see anyone scoring below a 7 on this round, if even that low.




Also, I need to let you all know, I have some very serious personal shit going on in life, so a few changes are being made to the rounds, mainly the amount of times I will listen to a song. All songs will be heard as many times as I need to get a vibe from them. And if I delay with scoring or something, please be patient, I have a ton on my plate right now, and may get held up at times. I do want you all to know though that this roulette is something I need now too, a little diversion in what is a very, very trying time, and I thank you all for the killer songs you send. :heart


Gonna go in for another run through, I will post results before crashing tonight.

Kick ass rocking tune, almost a motherfucking riff overload.

TAC- Armored Saint- Upon My Desire
Another good, rocking tune,almost great, almost.
Score- 7

Jingle.Boy- Consortium Project IV- Enigma
Song was a seven without headphones, your little hint pushed it up, and the end of it, fucking A.
Score- 9

Lowdz- Nemesea- Caught in the Middle
I had came across this band the morning that you sent it, was an hour away from checking them out, it's a good thing I didn't. Song started out pretty good, great female vocals. When it hit the second  part, the change in tone of the song was something else all together. I literally felt caught in the middle, brilliant use of all the musical elements. Kinda stunned me to be honest.
Score- 9

Nem- Zero Hour- There for Me
Song was solid almost all the way through, though the middle guitar section just lost me.
Score- 7

King- Sara Maclachlan- Possession
Great story, as you said, really spooky premise. The song on the other hand was just ok, maybe on another day, it might have scored higher, but I think it was just a case of bad timing here.
Score- 6

Ravenheart- The Smiths= There is a Light that Never Goes Out
Kinda felt this one was going the way of Kings song, then I heard the chorus, and realized the overall tone of the song. I fucking laughed my ass off to be honest(wich is kinda disturbing considering the premise of the song) If this was the lyrics round, I would have given you an 11. High score is for the much needed whatever the hell it was that this song gave me.
Score- 9


There wasn't a bad song in the round, and there wasn't a perfect one either, though Lowdz song came really damn close. The scores....

Kicking myself in the ass.  Last time lonestar did a roulette, Obscure had given him a tune that he wasn't as taken by.  So despite my not having been participating, I sent him one on the side by the same artist.

Turns out that is the one I was going to send this round, but forgot about the previous incident!  Duh.  No matter, I have another one lined up to send, will do so when I get home.
