Anyone who knows me knows my answer to this. I love Zeppelin, but the 80s is my favorite decade of Rush, my favorite band ever, so, yeah.

I forget that 80's Rush technically includes Permaneny Waves and Moving Pictures. To me, Rush wins on Moving Pictures

Late 70s/Early 80s Rush kills about anyone, but 80s Rush is just.... meh.

This isn't a good split for LZ either as it leaves out I and II, and I don't care for their later material.

Honestly, I am probably not a big enough fan of either to vote

Led Zeppelin definitely.
I've always liked Rush but have never loved them, my dad is a huge fan of both, and he always played both around me, I have Led Zeppelin III and IV on vinyl(from my dad) and both are two of my most played.
Going To California is also undoubtedly one of the most beautiful songs ever.

I think Rush will win by a landslide here, but for me it's Led Zep since I really don't like many of those Rush albums other than Moving Pictures

While I love Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves and Grace Under Pressure, there is NO denying the impact that Led Zeppelin had on rock music in the 70s.

Rush easily. The only album not 4 stars or higher on that list IMO is Presto. For Led Zeppelin, Presence and In Through the Out Door are very lacking for me, although some are pretty amazing.

This one is a toughie, but I think Rush was just a bigger part of my life. All respect to the godfathers of rock though.

Rush of the 80s is slightly better, I also prefer that decade of theirs. I love Zeppelin of the 70s as well, though, but six of those Rush albums are 9/10 or above, while Zepp was dragged down by Physical graffiti and Presence - both good albums, but not good enough for comparison.

This was extremely tough, Kev, you paired two of my top 5 bands. Can't wait to see what are you gonna come up with next.

I can't belive that non-prog era Rush have won against classic Zep. It seems that Rush is the most worshipped band on this board.

In this poll my pick is Zep by far. Permanent Waves and Moving Pictures are really great Rush albums, but 70's Zep have 4 remarkable albums in row: Zep III, ZOSO, Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti - that's enough to blow 80's Rush output away.
For me 70's Rush vs 70's Zep would be a much closer contest, but Zep would win again.
