I believe mine has a 4 gig SD card. Is that anything like yours?
Yes, mine is a 4 gig. The menus are insanely complicated and non-intuitive, but I eventually found where you tell it to save pictures to the card and not to the phone memory. There's a separate place where you tell it to access the memory card when you plug in the USB cable. I found both of these before I got the card in the first place, while I was trying to figure out how to access the phone memory via USB. I finally took it to the Verizon store where I bought the phone and the guy there said that it can't be done,
but if you install an SD card, then everything I've been trying to do will work.
As I said, I bought the card on the spot and he set it all up for me, but in the meantime, I'd figured it out anyway. It sounds like you've tried, so if I were you, I'd just take it back to the store and have them do it. The cell phone companies have really ramped up customer service around here, because the competition is fierce, so they'll pretty much do anything. I don't know what it's like in your area, but it's worth a try.
