Loneliness
Abandonment
Being forgotten by those who claim to love me
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

The biggest fear I have is not living up to my potential, I've wasted a bit of my life doing stupid shit and I don't want to waste anymore time.

And most recently after my past relationships I'm afraid of being alone, at the moment but in 15 years when I'm 40, I don't want to be alone.

My biggest fear is that I'll never find a solid career and I'll be jumping between minimum-wage jobs my whole life. Also the fear of being foreveralone and never having my own family. It really kills me to think about it, but I just don't see it happening with my career situation.

I'm terrified of being trapped in somewhere tiny and 100% escape proof (welded inside an iron crate for example) with no windows or air holes and just being left there to die. OMGGGGGGGG

Losing my teeth. (I'm fucking serious, I have had a mini trauma involving losing my front teeth and I still get nightmares of teeth falling out)

This  :eek

You serious? Damn. I have only ever met one person that had the same.

Losing your teeth is one of the Top Ten most experienced nightmares.

The Top Ten Most Common Nightmares

32% - Being Chased, Attacked
7% - Falling or Drowning
7% - Being Trapped
6% - Partner Leaving Them
6% - Being Injured, Ill
5% - Teeth Falling Out
3% - Being Naked in Public
2% - Misssing a Plane or Train etc
2% - Contacted By the Dead
1% - Natural Disasters

https://www.nightmares.com/top-nightmares.htm

Sorry for the quote pyramid, but I have semi-recurring dreams where I'm chewing gum (which I hardly EVER do) or I'm talking to someone and my teeth just... shatter.  It's creepy as hell.

Excuse me for the quote pyramid as well;
That actually surprises me, that teeth falling out is a common nightmare. I didn't have them at all before I lost my teeth, but afterwards, especially the first couple of weeks, my dreams consisted of a replay of the event and completely random other stuff involving losing teeth. It's fucking scary.
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

One of the greatest fears and scariest moments of my life was the few days before and the morning of taking the PCAT exam. I was terrified that I wouldn't do well and that I would have to re-evaluate my entire life. I was so very worried and couldn't sleep at all the night before.

I was able to get the score that I wanted, and it ended up being a moment of relief that can't be expressed in words.

After the fear of dying, and the fear of the people I love dying, this one would probably be next for me. That's not to say I think I've wasted my time, but I haven't progressed as fast as I feel I could/should have, and I have this fear every single day.

Bye quote pyramid

I didn't realize losing one's teeth was one of the most common nightmares people have.

I had a traumatic experience when I was about 6 where I lost four teeth, and since I have dreams about losing the rest.  it's not a dream I have often and they're all different apart from the teeth falling out.

I'd rather have dreams where I get shot (have had a few of those as well).

I am absolutely terrified of flying. I have no idea why and statistically its safer than driving and that jazz, but still, since I was a kid I've always been freaked out about it.

Ironically, I would really like to go skydiving. Now I know that doesn't make much sense, but I think that knowing that I'll be jumping out of the plane changes the dynamic a little, but still. I don't know.

Everything that's out in the ocean that we haven't discovered. It's fascinating, but scary at the same time.. The feeling that things are out there that make us humans look like small piss ants.

That shouldn't really be an active fear unless you spend a lot of time deep in the middle of the ocean.

Wait, do you spend a lot of time deep in the middle of the ocean? :|

Horrible injury or illness that has permanent consequences not allowing me to enjoy life as I otherwise would. And of course death. Those are the big ones. I just want to be for the most part healthy and live forever, no biggie.

Having a water moccasin bite my butthole when I'm shitting.

Being stung on the eyeball by a hornet.

Actually dying when I fall to my death in my dream about falling to my death.

Well, this may seem insignificant, but my greatest fear is never talking to the one person, that I've known the longest, outside of my family, again.  It may seem lame, and it is lame, but I usually enjoy life a lot more after a nice conversation with this person, so yeah.

Near all my fears are now centered around my children.

 - Them getting Kidnapped
 - Them getting Cancer or a disease that kills them young
 - Them getting maimed or disfigured in an accident
 - Something happening to me where they are left Fatherless at a young age

I rarely come across a fear that is 'selfish' as I've reached a point in my life where I am very secure in my Faith which helps me cope with any thought or 'fear' that may try to crop up in my head. Even when I do experience the 'fears' about my kids...I have good luck at expunging them from my mind rather quickly.

But I will admit there are times when I find myself 10 minutes into a wandering daydream that has just spiraled out of control and that contains nothing but horrible circumstance after horrible circumstance.
Without Faith.....Without Hope.....There can be No Peace of Mind

Interesting statistics. It's really rare for me these days, but I used to have this recurring nightmare of me walking up an escalator but the steps would then be heightened by several decimeters while the actual step itself would become smaller so only your toes could fit on it. I would then fall down, and just as I'm about to hit the ground I'd wake up.

It used to happen with me falling off a building too. I've never been that afraid of heights though when I'm awake, but I guess there's something about falling that made my frightened.
