REMEMBER THAT YOU'RE STILL VOTING FOR YOUR LEAST FAVORITE TRACK.

Alrighty, for anyone who's never been around for a consolation survivor, this list of songs is comprised of the songs that finished in 3rd place for each album's survivor and the purpose is to crown a champion and that champion will join all the songs that finished in either 1st or 2nd place from each album in this survivor's finals.

If you still have any questions or are curious about anything pertaining to the format, feel free to ask.

Lastly, there's also a survivor for all of Opeth's non-album tracks (b-sides, bonus tracks, covers, and one-offs like The Throat of Winter.) It has nothing to do with this survivor whatsoever and is just for fun so feel free to check it out; it's the third link at the top of this post.

I love Black Rose Immortal, but it's the obvious choice here.

Far from obvious. I'd say it has a lot more to offer than The Devil's Orchard (in before "of course it has 'a lot more', LOL20minutes.) In fact, I'd take any 6-minute stretch of BRI over it.

Damn son, I love The Devil's Orchard. I'm even tempted to say it's a Top 10 Opeth song...Top 20 at the very least.

I have nothing against it, it's just that 95% of Opeth's discography is probably in my top 1000 or top 1500 songs ever so it's easy for an Opeth song I like to still be in my bottom 10 Opeth's discog. In fact, my favorite track from Heritage would probably still be in my Opeth bottom 15 as of now because, aside from Atonement and half of Watershed, I have a gross greasy veiny hardon for the rest of their entire discography.

I still enjoy Heritage as a whole and it's improving with me on a regular basis. I'd probably rate it a 6.5 on a 10 scale as of now which is just head and shoulders below the rest of Opeth's work aside from Watershed since I'd rate all of their other albums no lower than an 8.5 and Watershed would probably get a 6 or 7.

Blackwater Park. After it's gone this will get much tougher.

I went with Under the Weeping Moon, but I could just as well have gone with basically any of the other songs, save a couple. I know my personal top three out of the listed songs, but apart from that, they're all pretty much even. Maybe I'll change my mind for the next round.

Your opinion is very odd, but I respect it.

:lol I know it's controversial but I've always found BWP (song) overrated. It starts promisingly but loses all the momentum when that acoustic section comes in before the 3-minute mark and drags on for so long. Most riffs in the second half are also very unmemorable. I've listened to the song countless times but I still don't think it's better than 2.5/5. And actually the whole "starts promisingly" thing describes the whole album pretty well - the first 4 songs are excellent but I can't find anything great about the latter 4 tracks no matter how many times I've listened to them. I guess BWP will never be above the #9 position in my Opeth album ranking...

I think Blackwater Park is a top3 Opeth song just for the "THE SUN SETS FOREVER OVER BLACKWATER PARK"-part alone.  :lol

I feel bad for abstaining, but I don't know all of the songs listed in either of the two survivors. :(

Somewhat of a familiarity achieved - gonna go with Black Rose Immortal.  It meanders WAY too much and it sounds like they were trying to combine 11dy6 songs into one.
