Um... respectfully?  No, I didn't vote for SDV out of spite.  I truly DO NOT like the song - and I've tried MANY times to like it.  It's just too out of place and is more of a KevMo song than a DT song.

I kinda thought you didn't too but I also think you're exceptional in that cause this is how it went the last few years with Awake, check out splent's OP note to get a feel of how menacing the Awake survivor is to the DTF social order
Regarding SDV being a Kevin Moore song; That point is different for me as I actually never heard a Kevin Moore song or anything he worked on outside of Dream Theater so to me a Kevin Moore song is a Dream Theater song. Like saying The Silent Man is more of JP song since he wrote the music and the lyrics alone.

Bingo.  Is Wither more of a JP song than a DT song since he wrote all by himself?  Of course not.  Not every song has to have that classic Dream Theater sound or feel to it.  Space Dye Vest is unique in that there is no other DT song that sounds like it (not even Disappear), but it is still a Dream Theater song through and through.

It's honestly no less a non-dt song than The Silent Man is. Both are written solely by one member, both sound absolutely nothing like anything else DT has ever done before or since. Yet one is loved, the other is hated.

I havn't said anything thusfar...because I do respect your right not to like the song.    (I love it, but I don't slobber all over it like some do)

That being said....Disappear doesn't sound like anything else in DT's catalog.   Neither does Vacant to my ears.   I don't think a song not sounding like anything else in the DT catalog is a defining factor in whether or not something is a DT song.

You can hate the song for whatever reason you wish. But when you say you dislike it because it sounds nothing like other DT songs, but you still like songs like Silent Man which also sound NOTHING like anything else in the DT catalog, then that reason is obviously not your primary reason.

The sole reason I don't like SDV is because it doesn't sound ANYTHING like the rest of DTs catalogue. I am also the very model of a modern Major-General. Also Adami is awesome.

Oh god this is the hardest thing. Voted Erotomania. And yes, SDV is my fave song, probably ever, but I won't care to see it eventually go because I know that, when it's hated, it's hated with a burning passion of a million suns so people are going to vote for it, are going to vote for it first, and that's fine. I'm sad with all the other survivors, but not this one, really
