Dream Theater Survivor 2012 - Awake, Round 1

Since I"m going to be gone tomorrow, I'm starting Awake now.  Plus, it will be my habit that on the day of the final round for one, we'll start the next album. 

And please no trolling for this album... I'm asking nicely, and don't make me beg.  If that happens, I hide the results (for this album only).  Everyone has a right to vote what they want, but I want this to be a positive experience for all.

Lie, but this is going to be a DAMN hard album since I love every single song on it.

But it's pretty obvious Voices will win, and SDV will be out in the first 3 rounds.

This will be the easiest of any vote through this whole thing.

Lie is the ONLY "skip track" from this album.    Why it was chosen as the lead single is a complete mystery to me.    Worst song from Awake by far, and one of the worst tracks DT has ever recorded.

Innocence Faded is my fave on the album, closely followed by Scarred. SDV is pretty good, about average. 6:00 is easily my least fave and one of DT's worst songs.

With a heavy heart I have to vote for Lie :( Great rocking song with interesting lyrics but its appeal has decreased a bit over the time in my eyes (which is typical for singles)

Um... respectfully?  No, I didn't vote for SDV out of spite.  I truly DO NOT like the song - and I've tried MANY times to like it.  It's just too out of place and is more of a KevMo song than a DT song.

I kinda thought you didn't too but I also think you're exceptional in that cause this is how it went the last few years with Awake, check out splent's OP note to get a feel of how menacing the Awake survivor is to the DTF social order :lol
Regarding SDV being a Kevin Moore song; That point is different for me as I actually never heard a Kevin Moore song or anything he worked on outside of Dream Theater so to me a Kevin Moore song is a Dream Theater song. Like saying The Silent Man is more of JP song since he wrote the music and the lyrics alone.
