Turn it off, wait 10 seconds, turn it on again.

First thing to do would be to wait until the morning and try it again.  If it doesn't work, (which would surprise me, all things considered), I think the only thing to do at that point is call your internet service provider and see if they can help you out.  You'd be surprised at what they can pull off remotely.

Of course, someone else might have some great advice, but to my knowledge there's not much you can do yourself at this point.

In my experience, if turning it off and on and waiting a while doesn't fix it, then nothing will :P

I'll unplug it overnight and see what happens... Id be surprised if it just crapped out because it worked fine earlier today.

9 times out of ten the power wall plug in thing has died. They're shipped with very cheap ones. The router companies know they'll fail in a year or so...they purposefully make the connector hole an odd size so you are unlikely to find one at radioshack............so you'll have to buy a new router.
Take care everyone - Bet you all didn't even notice I was gone.

Happy Lives to you all.

Well, I don't know about that.  My family's had the same wireless router for 4-5 years now.

Regardless, let's wait to make sure splent is still in trouble, since he could be all patched up by now.

Is it the router or the internet? Do you see a connection on your PC? Does your router have physical ports to connect to?

When I plugged in the modem to the computer earlier it worked fine.  It may be the router.  But it just blows my mind because I JUST got the router... could it be her wireless card?  That worked fine just days ago.  The whole thing is just janky.

I was in a hurry when I posted that, there's a lot more useful information we need.

1. How far away from the router is your wife's computer?
2. Is there anything metal, or walls/floors between your wife's computer and the router? Also, anything wireless could be causing interference. Wireless routers operate at 2.4 GHz, the same frequency as some items such as microwave ovens, cordless phones, and baby monitors. IIRC, don't you have a little one? Either end of the baby monitor somewhere near your router or wife's computer could be the culprit.
3. What is the model number of your modem, as well?
4. You mentioned the phones would get messed with. Are you referring to:
Landline phones (possible filter issue if you're using DSL)
Cell phones in general use
Or cell phones connected to wi-fi
