I gotta ask. I understand the point of making the forum by permission only, but why if you're going to grant permission to everyone? Is it so you can be more strict with the rules since each poster has to demonstrate that they have read the rules?

I think that they actually deny access to people who have shown to have tendencies of posting in a very offensive manner.

Omega was allowed back in after being banned before.

And was banned again. But they still let him back in.

Well, to my knowledge, no troublemakers have asked for entrance to this thread. With a couple exceptions, these are all people who have a thousand posts or more. The new system isn't supposed to be too restrictive, if my understanding is correct; it's to keep out people who haven't shown they can follow the rules, which is not a very large group.

I think Omega was on his last chance when he was banned for the final time.

Regardless, I can't help but feel like this is not the proper venue for this discussion, since this thread exists for bookkeeping purposes.
