Well, I'm certainly guilty of it from time to time. What I can say is that I never intend it to be a compelling argument for anything, other than the fact that every single republican and democrat politician should be the first against the wall when the revolution comes. My recurring theme for the last ten years is that both parties are genuinely awful and favoring one party or dissing the other is problematic, at best. It seems there are plenty of times when a statement comes around that suggests one party or the other is up to some bogus, stupid ploy, and when it comes from a staunch defender of the other party I generally feel compelled to point out that it's business as usual for both parties. Not a good logical argument to any real discussion, but a good reminder from time to time, at least in my book.
