Just listening to the previews on iTunes... this sounds AWESOME.

What is Voyage to the Star?

Voyage To The Star is the 4 song demo EP released in 2008. You might like "A Town In Ruins".  :tup

There is a stream of that CD on the band's Facebook page.

Ah alright. I didn't have a chance to check it out, just saw the title on iTunes and wasn't aware that it was an EP, but the debut itself.

So I downloaded it from I-Tunes.  I freekin' digging it and when it gets to the last tune, the 29 minute song, it's cut off 30 seconds into it! :censored

I sent an email to I-Tunes dammit!

Way too many respected DTFers stroking this album's shaft. Purchased, song unheard. Be back tomorrow with joy, or anger, though I'm pretty sure it will be the former.

The first 3 minutes of Another Day Slips By + everyone here circle jerking about it convinced me to buy it as well.  I'll probably end up reviewing it for Nick.

For some reason, the last part of "Primative Design" gets cut off.  iTunes seems to be butchering these songs.

It seems for some reason you can't trust iTunes anymore, connection failure issues or something. I would recommend CD Baby for any others out there who would like to purchase the digital download.

Sending you a PM.

No offence to the music, which I personally enjoy quite a bit, but this has been a little bit over the top. The group mentality aspect of DTF has taken over. I've never been one for circle jerks, but the pressure on this thread is too overwhelming.

With that being said, it is praiseworthy music.

Yes... the pressure is pretty much indescribable. The only thing that really compares is sex with a 643 pound woman...

Finally got around to my first listen through, fucking awesome instrumental work, just great.

And to seneca, what I meant was that if Barry alone reccomends something so highly, I will probably buy it, add jingle and TAC to the mix, and it's a good shot I will love it too.

I don't see any arm-twisting happening here, just some people who dig some music recommending that other people check it out.

Listened to the iTunes clips and the music is worthy of all the praise that's given here.

The vocals are definitely the weakest link. It's the only thing stopping me from buying this. Very plain and boring vocals. There are probably a thousand amazing singers in Toronto. Go find one who is worthy of this talented band.

... but remember, I do think the music and songs are frigging stellar.

Hey guys,

I'm the drummer from Pyramid Theorem and Johnny has been keeping me up to date with all that's been going on in the forum.  I only found it necessary to create an account and thank you all personally.  First of all, thank you to Johnny for being like a brother to the band for the passed 3 years.  All your leg work may go unseen by some, but it does not go unappreciated.  Thanks Johnny!

And secondly, thank you to everyone on here who has taken the time to give us a listen, and for supporting us and buying our record.  It truly means the world to us that people are digging the record and speaking so highly about our music.  It is so gratifying and we are so appreciative of people like you guys who are digging the tunes and spreading the word about our band.

Once again, sorry to sound like a broken record, but thanks a lot and enjoy the record!!

Vito

Great work Vito.

And I redownloaded the broken track from iTunes and it plays perfectly, so that was an iTunes issue with an easy fix.

I just had my second listen (streamed from FB page).  Like a fine glass of Shiraz, it just got even better the second taste.  I'm traveling this week, but Amazon/iTunes purchases are pending.

Nice to see you drop in Vito.  Great music you guys made.  If only I'd known about it sooner.  I live in Brampton, and coulda come to see the show a few weeks back.

Will the physical copy by available via amazon at some point, or is CD baby my only option? Either way I'll be buying.

Far as I know CD Baby is the only option. It works good, no worries. I'm trying to find out now if it is available on amazon too. When I get an answer, it will be posted.

Again, thanks to everyone here on the Forum

"as of now, only CD Baby...It would be more expensive on Amazon so we're only making it available on CD Baby"
