"...a proggy Randy Rhoads..."
hmm, that's interesting .............now I have to listen to it AGAIN!!

Definitely part of Sam's style of guitar playing in which he has developed. Especially on the "Voyage To The Star" CD with all the squeals, haha

Thought I might post some videos I shot last night, they were opening for Scale The Summit last night in Toronto.

First song on the setlist might come to you as a bit of a shocker.  I didn't expect they would play it, lol.

Perhaps you should ask bosk to reverse the "e" and "a" in the second half of your user name.

Can't say I like the vocals too much. They're a bit exaggerated. Everything else was great.

Wow, what a way to bump up this thread, its been a while.

Well folks, here it is the official video of: "Another Day Slips By"

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YHHRm0wKoM

hope you guys enjoy the video  :metal

In the past few months the band has done a few gigs with another Canadian Prog band from Montreal, TRANSCEND and with the band 3 this past weekend. Pyramid Theorem is starting to write new songs for the next masterpiece hopefully out in 2013/2014.

Thanks again to all who have supported this band so far.  2012 was a memorable year for sure. :hefdaddy

For anyone who ordered the CD from them. Is it a professional pressing or something burned on a disc? Is the liner/artwork worth it? Wondering if I should just get the digital download since a physical copy seems kind of hard to come by.

Dig it!  I was totally expecting a different ending to the video though.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad

fyi, cdbaby is sold out at the moment, but I emailed the band and they are telling me they hope to ship more cds by the end of this week.

It is a professional pressing (digipack), artwork was created by the drummer. The album credits are as you open up the CD. (I am in the credits, haha  :tup)

Wish they did include a liner booklet with the lyrics, but with no label and limited resources what can they do. They did have lots of CD's at the gig last weekend, so I would think you should be able to get a physical copy soon

Pretty good production value for a band without a label.

I'll keep an eye on cd baby for new stock.

Got my copy in the mail last night. Gave it a spin and was very pleased. Better than what I was expecting. The song writing and compositions was far more mature than I expected from a debut album. This is a band to keep an eye on.

;D  how time goes by fast, debut CD released 1 yr ago today, can't wait for the Pyramid Theorem 2  :tup

from the band's FB page:

"1 year ago today, we released our debut album to the world. We can't thank you enough for making our dream a reality. Never would we have thought that there would be people from all over the world listening to our music.

Whether you live in Italy, Germany, Holland, Turkey, Australia, Chile, Indonesia, United States, or in the True North Strong & Free, we truly appreciate the passion you have shown for our music and would like to thank you for spreading the word about the band.

We are hard at work right now writing our follow up record and we can't wait for you guys to hear the new stuff. We're sure you're going to dig it! If you have the record, make sure to CRANK it as LOUD as you can today, and if you don't have the record...what are you waiting for?!

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and you haven't heard the last of Pyramid Theorem"
