[Musical Instrument] Keyboard Recommendations
« on: July 04, 2012, 08:23:33 PM »
I'm looking to take advantage of some 4th of July sales and pick out a keyboard.  I've previously played an upright for several years, but am in my own place now and need something smaller.  Here's some things I'm looking for, so any models available on samash, musiciansfriend, etc. that you would recommend would be awesome.

Fully weighted keys
Pitch wheel/knob
Decent set of built in sounds
Expandable soundbank would be nice, not required
88 keys, may consider less
$500 or less

Thanks DTF!

Is the one you're typing on no good?

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Accept no substitute.  Equally adept at typing and defending your home from invaders.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

I'm probably going to stop by Guitar Center today and get my hands on a few.  Hoping to get a package with a sustain pedal and stand.
