Sweets - cake, pie, ice cream.  Currently trying to break myself of it and it's working rather well so far.

I drink and smoke the occasional cigar though if I only do it out of pleasure and in my personal time is it truly considered a vice?

By "vice", I mean an activity that you know is bad for you but you partake anyway on a regular basis.

Candy (somewhat) and Soda. I really, really, REALLY need to cut back on drinking soda, particularly Pepsi. I probably have two cans a day, which isn't too much, but I'd rather not see it develop into something I depend on a lot and then starting to drink more and more everyday. I'm about 5'11" and 145 lbs, so it hasn't affected my weight too much at all, but I know it could eventually mess with my weight, big time.

Energy Drinks.  I typically drink one a day, which is not good for me (or my wallet).

For me it is failure to commit. If I don't truly give something 100% commitment, I cascade backwards and fail.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Definitely booze.  I drink hard liquor on a daily basis, especially Jagermeister and Absinthe, although not to the point of drunkenness.  It's really more of a financial vice, since maintaining a decent selection sucks up a good chunk of change.

My vice is visiting Varg Vikernes's website, and reading his interviews  :( As someone who loves ALL people (reguardless of race, gender or who they love) they make me sad but I'm fascinated with his thoughts  :omg:

So is he back to recording regular black metal or has he stayed the course on that electronic stuff he was doing while he was in the clink?

Given that I am a recovering alcoholic, I'd say it's pretty obvious what my worst vice was. These days? Caffeine, totally.

Confusing 8 as being equivalent to D? That can be bad, especially when translating into binary

I realized the situation didn't really call for it, and doing it just to do it renders it pointless.

There isn't enough room to list past vices that I have given up, but for the present, my 1 1/2 pack a day smoking habit is the leader.

Probably drinking, though I do it less, I do still partake in the occasional binge or near binge. I don't get drunk much, but I don't get a lot of pleasure out of spending like $30 on drinking in one night either. So I don't know why I do it.

I'm lazy, though.

Tea (I have managed 13 pints in a single day on multiple occasions... and that's the British pint, so 20floz rather than 16), naturally without milk or sugar, otherwise it just tastes of hot, sweet milk rather than tea.

Oh, and basses, although that's more just incredibly bad for my bank account and my studies.

It's funny how vices change as you get older.

When I was a kid it was drugs.  Any kind of drugs I could get my hands on.  And as often as I could get my hands on them.

FF>> to midlife and now my vices are silly.....bread, ice cream, chocolate
